The Unu Ultrapak has a quick charging functionality that is designed to soak up enough electricity to charge a smartphone in just 15 minutes. The external charge ideal for road warriors that make only make short stops between their destinations or those that sometimes forget to charge their phones or battery packs before going out for the day.
The Ultrapak battery pack, is an external charger made by Unu Electronics. The company says that the Ultrapak sucks up power about eight times faster than any other battery pack. It is so fast that in just 15 minutes of charging, the pack gets enough charge to power your smartphone once.
The Ultrapak is available in two sizes: The Ultrapak Go and Ultrapak Tour. The Ultrapak Go is priced at just $60, with dimensions of 3.95 x 2.05 x .68-inches and weighs just 4.5oz. The pack has a storage capacity of a 3000 mAh battery. The Ultrapak Tour is a bigger version and costs $100. It dimensions are 5.36 x 2.78 x 0.69 inches, weighs 9.9oz and has a 10,000 mAh battery capacity. Both the models can charge to 2000mAh in just 15 minutes, but smaller model gets a full charge in 30 minutes, while the latter takes 95 minutes.
Recently StoreDot, an Israel based startup claims to have developed a new battery-technology that charges your smartphone's battery in just 30 seconds. The startup unveiled the battery prototype at Microsoft's 'Think Next Conference' in Tel Aviv. The company says that it will take an year to make a functional prototype embedded inside mobile devices and it expects to have the charger ready for production by 2016. The charger is expected to cost approx $60.
