Two stunning new Blackberry Pearl 3G smartphones launched in India

After a long wait, the BlackBerry fans are surely in for a treat. Research In Motion (RIM), one of the world’s leading wireless communications company has unveiled two new models of its Blackberry 3G phones in India. India is one of the only three countries privileged to have BlackBerry 3G phones so soon. BlackBerry Pearl 9100 and BlackBerry Pearl 9105 are the two new BlackBerry models, to be released. Having the same internal hardware, the only difference between the two is on the outside, the 9100 being a 20-button half-QWERTY keyboard phone, while the 9105 with a normal numeric keypad.

 

 

 

 

 

The two phones have a powerful potent harware having a 624 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM run the BlackBerry OS 5 on-board. Their screens are of 326 x 400 pixel resolution. The Camera quality is quite impressive, compared to the previous BlackBerries of the series; having a 3.2 mega-pixels camera with auto-focus and LED flash. The phones support tri-band UMTS/HSDPA and quad-band EDGE/GPRS/GSM networks, and to add take the connectivity features to the industry standard, it adds a GPS chip for navigation. This is also the first BlackBerry to support Wi-Fi 802.11 ‘n’ standard, along with ‘b’ and ‘g’. It boasts a 1150 mAh battery to give talk-time upto five and half hours over a 3G network.

The pricing of these BlackBerries has not yet been declared, but we can expect them to be around Rs. 20,000 to Rs. 25,000.
