After months of leaks and rumours, Samsung has finally launched its next generation foldables at its Galaxy Unpacked event. Every year, the tech giant launches two foldables: a book-style foldable and a flip-style phone. This year, as expected, Samsung has expanded its foldable offering by introducing three foldables instead of two. The lineup includes the Galaxy Z Fold 8, Galaxy Z Flip 8 and Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 features a 7.6-inch main display and a 5.5-inch cover display. Both screens come with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate and Vision booster support. Under the hood, the phone is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage. Furthermore, the phone is backed by a 4,800mAh dual battery that supports 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging. Also, it runs on Android 17.
For photography, the Galaxy Z Fold 8 houses a dual-rear camera setup, consisting of a 50MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, there is a 10MP camera on both displays.
