Xiaomi is reportedly gearing up to expand its number series in India with the launch of the Redmi 17. The device will be a successor to Redmi 15 and is expected to bring several upgrades. While the company has not yet officially announced anything, leaks and rumours paint a clear picture of what the users can expect from the device. The device is tipped to launch in multiple colour options. Moreover, recent leaks also claim that it may feature a MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor paired with a 7,500mAh battery. YTECHB recently leaked the renders of the Redmi 17. According to it, the renders of the upcoming device could be launched in Deep Blue, Black, Oak Green, and Lotus Purple colours.
According to the latest leaks, the Redmi 17 4G will feature a 6.9-inch flat display with an adaptive refresh rate that goes up to 120Hz. Furthermore, the handset is also rumoured to be powered by the MediaTek Helio G91 Ultra processor and is said to be paired with up to 6GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. Out of the box the device is anticipated to run on HyperOS 3.0, which is a skin based on Android 16.
In the camera department, the device may include a dual rear camera setup. It’s said to come equipped with a 50MP primary sensor and a secondary camera whose details remain under the wrap for now. It may also include an 8MP front camera that is said to handle selfies and video calls. The leaked renders also suggest a redesigned camera island with RGB lighting around the camera module.

The device is tipped to measure 170.12 × 78.42 × 8.8 mm and weigh 232 g. Rumours suggest that the smartphone will come packed with a 7,500mAh battery supported by 45W of wired fast charging. Other expected features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor and NFC support.
While Xiaomi has been tight-lipped about the launch of the device, leaks and rumours suggest that the smartphone can land in the Indian market by the end of July or early August.

Reports suggest that the Redmi 17 4G could be priced around Rs 28,000. However, these are just speculative prices and may differ from the official launch price, which will be revealed at the time of launch.
