Nothing CEO Carl Pei
Nothing may be preparing to launch a new smartphone series in India. The company has been sharing teasers on X that hints that a new B-series could soon join the company’s smartphone lineup portfolio. The new range may target buyers looking for a more affordable Nothing smartphone. The first hint came when the main Nothing account posted a cryptic “(b)” teaser. A few days later, Nothing India shared another teaser video with the caption “(b)usted.” Now, the latest video gives a brief look at the upcoming device.

The teaser shows some of Nothing’s signature design elements. These include the transparent rear panel and visible internal components. One detail that stands out is the presence of a single rear camera, which could indicate that the phone is aimed at the budget segment.
There is speculation that the device could be called the Nothing Phone (4b). The phone will likely sit alongside the existing (a) series, which targets the mid-range market. Nothing has not officially confirmed the device name or launch date. However, the company has been releasing teasers regularly, which suggests that an announcement could happen soon.

Interestingly, the recent teaser comes just a few days after Nothing co-founder Akis Evangelidis spoke about the company’s plans for CMF smartphones. He revealed that a successor to the CMF Phone 2 Pro will not arrive this year because of rising memory costs.
“We were working on a successor but with memory prices where they are right now, we can’t build a phone that feels like a genuine step forward at a price that makes sense for CMF,” Evangelidis posted on X. As a result, we’ve decided not to launch a new CMF phone this year.”
This also suggests that a device originally planned under the CMF brand could now launch as a Nothing smartphone instead.
