The Android flagship launch season has begun in India with the arrival of the Oppo Find X10 Pro Max and Find X10. Building on this, smartphone makers such as iQOO, Xiaomi and Motorola previously confirmed the launch of their upcoming Snapdragon-powered flagships in the country at the India Mobile Congress (IMC) 2026. The models will include iQOO 16, Xiaomi 18 Pro and Motorola Signature 27. While details around the launch timeline, specifications and price remain unavailable via official channels, the rumour mill has managed to leak a range of details about these devices.
While Motorola is yet to launch the Signature 27 globally, the Xiaomi 18 Pro and iQOO 16 have already launched in China, giving us hints of the possible specifications of the Indian variants. For more context, here are the expected India price, launch timelines and specifications of the Xiaomi 18 Pro, Motorola Signature 27 and iQOO 16.
Display: In India, the Signature 27 is expected to sport a 6.8-inch quad-curved pOLED 165Hz display. Alongside a 2.9-inch 120Hz OLED rear display, the Xiaomi 18 Pro may bring a 6.4-inch 1.5K AMOLED 120Hz screen with a Privacy Display feature, similar to Samsung phones. Lastly, the iQOO 16 may offer a 6.85-inch 2K AMOLED 165Hz screen.
Performance: While the Xiaomi 18 Pro is expected to sport a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6, the Moto Signature 27 and iQOO 16 are said to offer a more powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset. While all phones are expected to arrive with Android 17 out of the box, Moto Signature will likely offer a stock-like Hello UI user interface, compared to the HyperOS 4 and Origin OS 7 custom skins expected on the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Moto Signature. Motorola has promised seven years of OS updates in its global blog post.
Battery: iQOO 16 is expected to sport the largest battery of the three phones at 8,400mAh, compared to the rumoured 7,000mAh and 6,000mAh cells of the Xiaomi and Motorola counterparts. The iQOO and Xiaomi flagship will likely also offer 100W wired charging support alongside wireless charging. Details about Signature 27’s charging remain unknown.
Cameras: Motorola’s Signature 27 is expected to sport a quad-camera setup on the back, with confirmed 50MP OIS primary and 200MP periscope lenses. iQOO 16 is said to offer a triple-camera setup with 50MP main + 50MP ultrawide + 50MP telephoto rear cameras and a 32MP selfie shooter. Xiaomi 18 Pro, in comparison, may sport a 200MP primary + 50MP ultrawide + 200MP telephoto rear sensors and a 50MP front camera.
While rumours around pricing of the three phones remain scant at the time of writing, we expect the flagships to compete in the sub-Rs 1 lakh category. If previous pricing trends are to be considered, Xiaomi may be the most expensive, followed by iQOO and Motorola. However, readers should take these details with a pinch of salt due to the ongoing memory and RAM shortage crisis globally.
While the launch timeline remains unknown, reports suggest Motorola may introduce the Signature 27 in India next month. Xiaomi could follow next with the 18 Pro in December 2026. While details around the launch timeline of the iQOO 16 remain scarce, we can anticipate a late 2026 or early 2027 release.
