iQOO is just a few days away from launching its upcoming flagship, the iQOO 12. iQOO smartphones are known for their top-notch performance. The iQOO 11 was launched in India in January this year. It was the first smartphone with a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset in India, marking itself the fastest smartphone. However, the iQOO 12 seems to continue the legacy of the ‘fastest smartphone.’

Along with the performance, iQOO has also focused on photography this year. The iQOO 12 is going to enter the photography game and will compete with Vivo X100, OnePlus 12, and more. The smartphone is coming to India on December 12. Ahead of the launch, we got a chance to try out the new camera chops of the upcoming iQOO 12. Let’s take a look at how the new camera on the upcoming iQOO flagship performs.

iQOO 12 camera specifications and samples

The iQOO 12 is equipped with a triple camera setup on the back. It holds a 50-megapixel primary camera with PDAF and OIS support. Along with that, there’s a 64-megapixel Periscope Telephoto shooter with up to 10x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. Lastly, there is a 50-megapixel Ultrawide lens for wide-angle shots.

Our smartphone expert, Darab Mansoor Ali went to Jaisalmer to try out the new iQOO 12. He clicked some pictures from the iQOO flagship and here’s how they are looking.

These pictures include the macro shots, 10x shot, and portrait shots as well. Along with that, we have some low-light pictures as well.

That’s not all. This time around, iQOO has also included a ‘handheld astrophotography’ mode, which allows users to take Astro shots without the need for any tripod or other kind of stabilisation tools. Here are some picture samples:
