Apple hosted its Surprise and shine event last month, where the brand unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro, iPhone 18 Pro Max and the iPhone Duo. But there was one familiar name missing from the stage: the standard iPhone 18. For the first time in recent years, Apple chose not to announce the base model alongside its Pro counterparts. However, that does not mean the vanilla iPhone has been discontinued. Reports suggest Apple may unveil the iPhone 18 next year as part of a separate launch cycle.
From launch timeline to pricing and specifications, here is everything we know so far about the iPhone 18.
The Apple iPhone 18 is said to feature a 6.3-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 3,000 nits of peak brightness. Powering the device could be the A20 chip, coupled with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal storage. Furthermore, the device is rumoured to house a 4,000 mAh battery with 25W charging support.
In terms of optics, the iPhone 18 is likely to equip a dual camera setup on the back, consisting of a 48MP main camera and a 48MP ultra-wide lens. On the front, there could be a 24MP camera for selfies and video calls.
Apple iPhone 18 price in India and launch timeline (Expected)
As per leaks, the Apple iPhone 18 is expected to launch globally, including in India, in spring 2027 (around March or April 2027). Given that the iPhone 17 is priced at Rs 99,900 in India, the iPhone 18 may cost more than Rs 1 lakh.
Keep in mind that all the details about the Apple iPhone 18 are based on leaks and rumours. So, it is advised to take them with a pinch of salt.
