Apple has officially introduced the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max in the global markets. The new devices come with smarter AI Siri, biggest ever battery and camera upgrades. The major highlight is the context aware Siri that can now draft emails, have rich conversations and even sync conversations from the Apple ecosystem.The phones run iOS 27 and come with the new Siri AI, which uses Apple Intelligence to handle tasks using personal context. Pre-orders will open on September 12, with sales beginning September 18 in India and several other markets.
The iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max feature a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with a variable aperture system using six blades. Users can manually adjust the aperture, shutter speed and white balance through new Pro controls, while a histogram provides additional exposure information.
Apple has also upgraded its video capabilities, including 4K Dolby Vision HDR time-lapse recording and the ability to apply Cinematic effects after recording at up to 60fps. The Dynamic Island can now display up to three Live Activities simultaneously.
Powering both phones is the new 2nm A20 Pro chip, featuring a six-core CPU, seven-core GPU and dual 16-core Neural Engine. Apple claims the GPU is up to 40 percent faster than the A19 Pro. A new vapor chamber is also said to improve sustained performance by up to 40 percent.
The phones feature the N1 wireless chip with Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread, along with Apple’s C2 modem. The iPhone 18 Pro offers up to 36 hours of video playback, while the Pro Max can reach up to 45 hours.
Both models come in black, silver, glacier and burgundy and offer storage options ranging from 256GB to 2TB.
The iPhone 18 Pro starts at Rs 1,64,900 in India, while the iPhone 18 Pro Max starts at Rs 1,79,900. Both models will be available with 256GB, 512GB, 1TB and 2TB storage options, and will come in burgundy, glacier, silver and black.
Pre-orders for the iPhone 18 Pro and iPhone 18 Pro Max will begin in India on September 12, with sales starting September 18.
