OpenAI is rolling out GPT-6 in ChatGPT for all users, alongside a new feature called Intelligent UI. With Intelligent UI, ChatGPT can create visual and interactive responses based on what a user asks. These responses can include charts, buttons, forms and other visuals. OpenAI says GPT-6 can also start answering while it continues to work on a response. The company has also improved web search, reasoning and safety features. Keep reading for the details.

OpenAI rolls out GPT-6 with Intelligent UI

GPT-6 in ChatGPT introduces Intelligent UI. Instead of giving every answer as plain text, ChatGPT can now decide when an interactive format would be more useful.

For example, a travel plan could include a map and suggested stops. A recipe may show timings alongside different steps. Users can also explore complex topics through interactive diagrams or change inputs to see how the results change.

OpenAI says users can even ask ChatGPT to create simple tools for them. These could include a savings calculator, a bill-splitting tool or a small game that works directly inside the conversation.

With Intelligent UI, ChatGPT can “combine UI, data, and actions to create entirely new ways for people to explore, understand, and interact with information,” OpenAI said.

Also, OpenAI claims that GPT-6 is better at deciding when it needs to search the web and at finding information that supports its answers.

GPT-6 is trained to better handle high-risk requests and resist attempts to bypass its safety rules. “GPT‑6 is better at recognizing and communicating the limits of its own capabilities, including when it lacks the information or tools needed to answer,” the company said.

The company described Intelligent UI as an early step toward software that can adapt to what people want. “Instead of people adapting to software, software will adapt to people,” OpenAI said.
