OpenAI launches GPT 6 Astra, claims it is world’s most intelligent AI model: What it can do and how to access it

HIGHLIGHTS

OpenAI has launched GPT 6 Astra, which it describes as the "world’s most intelligent and aligned model."

Astra can use computers and websites to complete tasks such as filling online forms, updating customer records, managing calendars and conducting online research.

The model can also create websites, analyse scientific data, generate plots and test websites to check whether their features work properly.

OpenAI has launched GPT 6 Astra, which it describes as the “world’s most intelligent and aligned model.” The new AI model is designed to handle complex tasks across computer use, web browsing, coding, cybersecurity, science and professional work. OpenAI says Astra can complete tasks faster and with better accuracy than its previous models. It has also been trained to better understand user instructions and stay within the limits of a task. Keep reading to know all the details about OpenAI’s GPT 6 Astra AI model, including its capabilities and availability.

OpenAI GPT 6 Astra capabilities

GPT 6 Astra is designed to do more than answer questions. It can use computers and websites to complete tasks such as filling online forms, updating customer records, managing calendars and conducting online research.

The model can also create websites, analyse scientific data, generate plots and test websites to check whether their features work properly. OpenAI says Astra can install and test software and help troubleshoot problems shown on a computer screen.

For professional users, Astra can create documents, spreadsheets and presentations. It can follow existing templates and match a user’s writing and visual style.

OpenAI says Astra is also better at handling changing instructions. It can keep track of the original task while adapting to new requirements. When an important decision needs clarification, it can ask a focused question. For less important gaps, it can make a assumption and continue.

OpenAI says Astra has achieved strong results across several benchmarks. The company claims it scored 98 per cent on FrontierMath Tier 4, 99.9 per cent on ARC-AGI-3 and 100 per cent on ExploitBench. The company also highlights improvements in computer use. “In latency simulations on OSWorld 2.0, Astra achieves higher computer-use performance in about 47 per cent less time per task than GPT 5.6 Sol, scoring 72.6 per cent at roughly 40 minutes per task, compared with 65.7 per cent at roughly 75 minutes,” OpenAI claims.

OpenAI calls Astra its “most aligned model” and says it is better at respecting user instructions and task boundaries.
