Locate offline Android devices

With the new Find My Device, you can find your compatible Android phone and tablet by making them ring or checking their location on a map within the app, even if they’re offline.

Well, that’s not it. Google Pixel 8 and Pixel 8 Pro owners will also be able to find their devices if they’re powered off or the battery is dead.

Locate everyday items with Bluetooth tags

Starting in May, you can use Bluetooth tracker tags from Chipolo and Pebblebee in the Find My Device app to find things like your keys, wallet or luggage. These tags, built specifically for the Find My Device network, will be compatible with unknown tracker alerts across Android and iOS to help protect you from unwanted tracking.

Later this year, more Bluetooth tags from companies like eufy, Jio and Motorola will be available too, Google said.

Find nearby items

Sometimes, what we’re searching for is really close by. If you’re near your lost device but need some extra help to find it, a “Find nearby” button will pop up to help you figure out exactly where it’s hiding. This feature will also help you locate everyday items like your wallet or keys when Bluetooth tags become available in May.

Finding lost Items made easier at home with Nest

Many times, we misplace common items like keys or phones within our own homes. Now, the Find My Device app displays how close a lost device is to your home Nest devices, giving you a simple way to know where to look.
