ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini down: Thousands of users facing issues with the AI services

ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini down: Popular AI services, including OpenAI’s ChatGPT, Anthropic’s Claude and Google Gemini, are facing widespread outages, with users across the world reporting problems with the platforms. According to Downdetector, an online outage monitoring platform, ChatGPT appears to be the most affected among the three. More than 38,000 users in the US have reported issues with ChatGPT, while India has recorded more than 3,300 reports. Keep reading for all the details.

ChatGPT down

As mentioned above, ChatGPT appears to be the most affected AI service at the moment. More than 38,000 users in the US have reported problems with OpenAI’s AI chatbot. In India, the number of reports has crossed 3,300.

According to Downdetector, around 81 per cent of users are reporting problems with ChatGPT in general. Another 8 per cent are facing issues with the app, while 6 per cent have reported problems with the website.

Claude down

Anthropic’s Claude is also facing an outage, although the number of reports is lower than ChatGPT. Around 1,400 users in the US have reported issues with Claude, while India has recorded around 185 reports.

Around 37 per cent of users say they are facing problems with Claude Code, while 32 per cent are reporting issues with Claude Chat. Another 22 per cent have reported problems with the Claude app.

Gemini down

Google Gemini appears to be less affected than ChatGPT and Claude. Downdetector has recorded around 490 reports from users in the US and approximately 970 reports from India.

Around 46 per cent of users claim they are facing problems with AI generation. Another 32 per cent have reported issues with the Gemini app, while 17 per cent are experiencing problems with the website.
