New MacBooks and OLED iPad mini may go on sale in November

As per Gurman, Apple is planning a retail store reset on the evening of November 6. Such changes usually involve setting up new signage and placing products on store tables.

The timing suggests that Apple may start selling some of its new products on Friday, November 6. This would be about a week after the expected announcements, which fits Apple’s usual launch schedule.

Products that are expected to be announced include Apple’s first MacBooks with touchscreen displays. The company is also reportedly planning to unveil a 14-inch MacBook Pro with the M6 chip, an updated iMac powered by the same chip, and a new iPad mini with an OLED display.

According to the report, Apple executives plan to host influencers for dinner on October 27, which would be followed by a full-day product experience on October 28. The event is expected to give attendees a closer look at the new devices.

However, the retail store changes do not confirm that every announced product will go on sale on November 6. Apple could release some devices later than others.

Apple working on a high-end HomeView

Apple is reportedly working on a more advanced version of its HomeView smart home display, which may arrive in 2027 or 2028. The upcoming model is expected to feature a larger 9-inch screen, compared with the 7-inch display on the current version.

The new HomeView is expected to feature a motorised robotic arm. It would allow the screen to rotate a full 360 degrees and turn towards the person speaking. The device would use voice recognition to identify who is talking and adjust its position automatically.

According to Gurman, the robotic model would sit above the existing HomeView rather than replace it. Apple has not decided on a final name, but expected options include HomeView Max, HomeView Ultra or HomeView 360.
