Apple's 'Surpriase and shine' event is set for September 9 iPhone 18 Pro, foldable iPhone and more expected
Apple has started rolling out the invites for its much-awaited September launch event. The event will take place in the second week of the month. While the company has been tight-lipped about the product lineup they plan to announce during the event, reports suggest that the Cupertino based tech giant may launch the iPhone 18 Pro lineup along with its first foldable iPhone. In the wearable category, they may introduce the all-new Apple Watch Series 12 and Ultra 4 models. Recent leaks also suggest that New AirPods with cameras may also debut during the event.
The event will be called ‘Surprise and Shine’. Here’s a look at everything we know about the expected iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple’s first foldable iPhone, including the launch date, event timing, and what could be announced.
Apple’s September event is confirmed for September 9. The event will begin at 10 AM PT, and for the Indian viewers it will start at 10:30 PM IST. Viewers will be able to watch the event live on YouTube, while updates will also be available across Apple’s social media channels.

While Apple has confirmed the date and time for the upcoming event, the company has stayed quiet on exactly what will be unveiled. However, if the reports are to be trusted, Apple could unveil the iPhone 18 Pro series during the launch event. Not only that, but the first foldable iPhone from Apple, widely rumoured to be called the iPhone Ultra, could also make its debut.
Apart from the smartphones, the company may also introduce the Watch Series 12 along with the flagship Watch Ultra 4. Both devices are expected to get updated chips and design changes, while the Ultra 4 could also get a ceramic case option.
In the audio segment, Apple may launch the much-anticipated AirPods 5 models. Not only that, but the rumours also claim that a new AirPods variant with built-in infrared cameras capable of supporting visual intelligence might also debut during the September event. However, some reports say otherwise, claiming that Apple has delayed them until 2027.
Buyers who were planning to buy the standard iPhone 18, iPhone 18e or iPhone Air 2 might also have to wait a bit longer, as the smartphones are not reportedly a part of the lineup and are expected to launch in spring 2027.
