Apple has started selling its latest Mac mini and Mac Studio models in India, bringing its newest M-series chips to the company’s desktop lineup. The Mac mini is now available with the M6 and M5 Pro chips, while the Mac Studio gets the M5 Max and M5 Ultra. Along with the new processors, Apple is also pushing on-device AI as a major part of the new machines, with support for Apple Intelligence and macOS 27 Golden Gate. Prices start at Rs 99,900 for the M6-powered Mac mini and go all the way up to Rs 6,29,900 for the M5 Ultra Mac Studio. Both desktops are now available through Apple’s online and offline retail channels.

The new Mac mini is available in two chip configurations, with the M6 model serving as the entry point. It starts at Rs 99,900 in India, while the Mac mini with M5 Pro starts at Rs 2,09,900. Students and education buyers can get the M6 model from Rs 88,900, while the M5 Pro version starts at Rs 1,97,900.
The M6-powered Mac mini comes with a 12-core CPU and 12-core GPU, with Neural Accelerators built into every GPU core. Apple has also equipped it with a 16-core Neural Engine. The company claims the new machine can deliver up to four times faster AI performance, twice the graphics and storage performance and up to 40 per cent faster CPU performance compared with the previous generation.
The M6 model starts with 16GB of unified memory and can be configured with up to 32GB. Memory bandwidth is rated at up to 170GB/s. Users looking for more performance can opt for the M5 Pro version, which goes up to an 18-core CPU, 20-core GPU and 64GB of unified memory. It also offers memory bandwidth of up to 307GB/s.
Both Mac mini models support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and 2.5Gb Ethernet. Apple also offers a 10Gb Ethernet option for users who need faster wired networking.
The Mac Studio is aimed at users who need considerably more processing power. The M5 Max version starts at Rs 2,79,900, while the top-end M5 Ultra configuration starts at Rs 6,29,900. Apple says the machines are designed for demanding workloads such as 3D rendering, motion graphics, video production and running AI models locally.
The M5 Max version features an 18-core CPU and can be configured with up to a 40-core GPU. It also supports up to 128GB of unified memory. The M5 Ultra takes things further with a 36-core CPU, an 80-core GPU and up to 512GB of unified memory. Apple claims the M5 Ultra can offer memory bandwidth of up to 1.2TB/s, allowing it to handle workloads such as real-time colour grading of uncompressed 8K footage, complex VFX rendering and large language models running on the device.
Apple has also equipped both Mac Studio variants with Thunderbolt 5, with data transfer speeds of up to 120GB/s. The desktop can drive up to eight displays, including up to four Studio Display XDR monitors running at 5K resolution and 120Hz.
The new Mac mini and Mac Studio also ship with macOS 27 Golden Gate. Apple Intelligence features include a more capable Siri that can use information from apps such as Messages, Mail and Photos, while other additions include Safari tab organisation, new Shortcuts automations, website alerts and advanced photo editing tools.
The M5 Ultra Mac Studio with 512GB of unified memory will be available in India from late October. Both machines can be purchased through the Apple Store, Apple’s online store, the Apple Store app and authorised resellers.
