What is The Blood of Dawnwalker about?

The Blood of Dawnwalker takes place in Vale Sangora, a region in 14th-century Southeast Europe that is dealing with the Black Death and a growing vampire threat.

The story follows Coen, who lives as a human during the day but becomes a vampire at night. This unusual situation is central to the game, both from a story and gameplay perspective.

Coen’s family is at the centre of his journey. After the vampires take control of the region, his family is placed in danger and Coen is given 30 days to save them before they are sacrificed.

The game begins in the village of Laslea, where Coen and his family are already struggling under the control of the vampires, known as the vrakhiri. The villagers are forced to provide blood to their rulers, and resistance comes with serious consequences.

Coen eventually becomes a Dawnwalker after being turned into a vampire. However, unlike a traditional vampire, sunlight does not destroy him. He retains his human emotions and connections while gaining supernatural abilities.
