DICE's Star Wars: Battlefront set for a release in the summer of 2015, EA Chief Financial Officer Blake Jorgensen reveals during an investors conference call.
EA and developer DICE revealed during their annual meeting of stockholders that Star Wars: Battlefront, is currently scheduled for a release in summer 2015. The launch window in 2015 signifies that it could be released alongside Star Wars 7 coming to cinemas.
EA Chief Financial Officer said the game "will most likely come out around the same time the Star Wars movies start to come out, probably in the summer of '15."
Apart from a teaser trailer for the game at this year's E3, EA and DICE have remained low on what the new Star Wars: Battlefront has to offer. EA Games' executive Patrick Soderlund announced last month that EA and DICE have dubbed the project as a "rebirth of the brand."
Star Wars: Battlefront is one of the many Star War titles EA is currently working on as a part of its exclusive deal with brand owner Disney.
It's already been confirmed that Dead Space studio Visceral Games is also working on an all-new Star Wars title, however no information is available about this project.
