The popular football sim game’s database will now be used by real world Premier League managers to scout out talent.

The database that powers the popular football simulation game Football Manager will now be used by real-world football managers of the English Premier League teams to scout for talent from around the world. Sports Interactive, the developers of the football sim, have signed a deal with Prozone Recruiter, an analysis tool used by football clubs, to provide players’ details such as their style of play and their contractual obligations, to help managers determine which players are worth transferring.

Football Manager studio director, Miles Jacobson stated, “For years we've heard stories of real-life managers and scouts using our data to help with the recruitment process. From now on, it's official. Real managers around the world will be finding and comparing players using data and a search system that will be very familiar to players of Football Manager.”

The Football Manager series of games are famous for their extensive database of football players from around the world. The last installment of the game, Football Manager 2014 was released last year in October for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux and let you manage 117 leagues from 51 countries, while also letting you create your own teams and leagues.

Football Manager 2015 is expected this November for the same platforms mentioned above.
