Fan of Stranger Things? I have good news for you. Even though the main story of Hawkins has ended, the universe is expanding in a new way. A new animated show titled Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 is arriving next week, bringing familiar characters back in an animated format. The concept of the series came up while the creators were exploring more ideas within the world of Hawkins. As Ross Duffer explained, ‘When we started talking about was there anything else we wanted to do with Stranger Things, this was one of our first ideas.’

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 release date

The animated series Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 will premiere on April 23, 2026. Viewers will be able to watch the show exclusively on Netflix.

Stranger Things: Tales From ’85 plot

The story is set during the winter of 1985 in Hawkins. According to the official description, ‘The original characters must fight new monsters and unravel a paranormal mystery terrorising their town in Stranger Things: Tales From ’85.’
