Once only available abroad, the Logitech UE Boom Bluetooth speaker has finally been launched in India.
So, it finally happened; the Logitech UE Boom Bluetooth speaker that I went a little gaga over in my review has been launched in India. The Boom is now available in Indian markets for the steep price of Rs. 14,995 and I would honestly have preferred if that price-tag was closer to the 10k mark. Then again, the Boom does deliver really good audio performance so, it’s really up to you.
For the uninitiated, the Logitech UE Boom is a portable Bluetooth speaker with a built-in rechargeable battery. It has a range of about 80 metres (as I discovered in my review) with line of sight and about 15 metres without line of sight. It has a maximum sound level of 88dbA, a frequency range of 90 to 20,000 Hz and consists of two 1.5-in 4 Ohm drivers and two 2-in passive radiators. It weighs about 538 grams and can be controlled (in a limited fashion) with the help of its iOS and Android app.
You can currently buy the Boom in India from offline retailers and I hope it will hit online stores soon as well.
