The PartyBox 720 uses dual 9-inch woofers and twin 30mm dome tweeters. JBL’s AI Sound Boost dynamically processes the audio to improve output while reducing distortion at high volumes. It also has wheels, a handle, IPX4 protection and two XLR inputs.

The PartyBox 330 and 130 are more suited to home use. Both have optical TV input, dual microphone and guitar inputs, USB-C lossless audio, Auracast multi-speaker pairing and IPX4 protection.

What’s new

The main change is JBL’s push to make PartyBox useful beyond parties. The optical TV input on the PartyBox 330 and 130 lets users use them as larger TV audio systems, while the microphone and guitar inputs add karaoke and live music functionality.

JBL is also bringing AI features to karaoke. The EasySing system can reduce lead vocals from standard tracks in real time. The microphones also offer Voice Boost, reverb, echo control and AI noise suppression. JBL rates them for up to 10 hours of battery life and up to 30 metres of wireless range.

The On-The-Go 2 AI Plus includes one EasySing Mic, while the standard On-The-Go 2 comes with a wireless microphone but does not support AI vocal removal. Both offer 100W RMS output and up to 15 hours of battery life.
