Facebook for iOS tests new card feature with contextual content on some users.
Facebook is rolling out a new card-based feature that offers content and information based on your check-ins and status updates. The idea behind the new feature is to help users find things/people they might be interested in or close to.
The update with be rolled out OTA. It will pick up on your check-in and general status update activity. If you check in at a particular location, the card UI will pop up telling you which friends have recently checked in to the same spot (in case they did). If you mention your favorite topic or TV show, or the World Cup, the card UI will appear telling you what some of your other friends think about it or whether they share your interests.
Users can access cards through their news feed and are relevant to the places you go and the things you want to talk about. The new card feature makes your Facebook experience a little more personalized, and gives you access to the information that you need to know at-a-glance. The app is available for iOS and no word has been given whether it will be launched for iOS or Windows Phone.

The app competes with Foursquare’s recently-announced Swarm. The Swarm app helps users connect with friends who are nearby and helps you find things to do.
Facebook is also rolling v10 of its iOS app that can be downloaded by users from the Apple App store. The new update brings faster speed, ability to create posts even when your data connection is poor and publish once the connection gets stronger and review how your posts will look like before publishing.
