Air India has optimised its mobile app to support Apple's new iPhone Duo. The update is designed to make better use of the phone's larger display and offer a smoother experience for travellers. It brings responsive layouts, split-screen views and dual-pane designs to several sections of the app. These include the Home screen, Flight Booking, My Trips, Check-in, Flight Status and Loyalty Profile. With the changes, users can see more information on the screen at once. They can also compare flight options, access booking details and navigate through the app with fewer taps and less scrolling.

Air India app gets a redesigned Home screen and flight booking page

The Home screen has been redesigned to use the additional screen space. It displays destination cards and other app content across a wider viewing area. The layout also adjusts to the phone's outer and inner displays.

The flight booking section has received similar changes. Air India has improved how flight options and related information are presented.

App supports different iPhone Duo display modes

Air India has optimised its app for all four display configurations of the iPhone Duo. These include the outer display in portrait and landscape modes, as well as the inner display in both orientations.

The app automatically adjusts its layout based on the screen being used. Split-screen and dual-pane designs help organise information better. This allows users to view more details without having to move between multiple pages.

My Trips and check-in get better layouts

The My Trips section has also been updated to take advantage of the larger display. Users can view upcoming and past journeys, with multiple trip cards appearing side by side. The redesigned section also provides quick access to important travel options. These include View Trip, Boarding Pass, Select Seat and Add Baggage. The update also covers the Check-in and Flight Status sections.

Loyalty Profile gets a wider view

Air India has also updated the Loyalty Profile section. The redesigned layout displays sections such as My Activities, Vouchers, What's New and Earn with Partners.

With these changes, Air India aims to make its app easier to use on the iPhone Duo.
