Super Plastronics Pvt Ltd (SPPL), the official brand licensee for Kodak TVs in India, has launched the 2026 range of Matrix QLED Google TV lineup under the Kodak brand. The new series includes 32-inch, 40-inch, and 43-inch models. This launch is aimed at those of you looking for an affordable smart TV with QLED panels, which are generally the better technology than standard LED panels in terms of brightness and colours. The Kodak Matrix QLED Google TV 2026 models are priced as follows:

Specifications and features

So, as mentioned in the intro, the QLED panel is the highlight. You are getting this display technology across all three screen sizes. The company says this could deliver improved brightness, better colour reproduction, and wider viewing angles compared to conventional LED TVs. That said, keep your expectations in check, considering this is QLED in a budget.

Inside the TVs, the brain is an ARM Cortex A55 quad-core processor. The software layer on top is Google TV 5.0. This means you can expect a clean and content-focused interface giving access to more than 10,000 apps and games via the Google Play Store. This would include streaming apps like Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, Apple TV, JioHotstar, Sony LIV, Voot, and Zee5.

Being a Google TV, you also get a built-in Google Assistant for voice commands and Chromecast for wireless casting.

Google has appealed a 2024 ruling that found the company broke antitrust law by paying to remain the default search engine on iPhones. The company filed its appeal with the US Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit, arguing that the verdict was wrong and that its success came from offering a better product, not unfair business practices. In its filing, Google said it became the top search engine because of better technology, larger investments, and hard work. The company argued that Apple selected Google Search for its devices because it offered the best option for users.

Google stated that it did nothing that ‘harm(ed) the competitive process.’ The company said no competing search engines were blocked from making better offers to Apple or other partners such as Mozilla. It also argued there was no evidence showing users would have chosen a different search engine if Google had not signed agreements to be the default choice. 'Google just prevailed in the marketplace fair and square,' the company said in the filing, as per MacRumors.

The appeal also argues that Apple was always free to promote other search engines on its devices. Google pointed to Safari browser settings, where users can switch to rival search options. According to Google, any idea of exclusivity came from Apple’s 'sound business reasons.'

Google is also challenging remedies introduced after the antitrust ruling. Under the court’s order, the company must begin sharing search-related data, user interaction information, and search results access with competitors. Google is seeking to undo those requirements.

The company specifically wants AI firms like OpenAI, excluded from receiving such data. Google argued that AI products 'did not even exist' during the period examined in the government’s case, making it unfair for them to benefit from Google’s search information. The company also said AI firms are 'already succeeding as wildly as any technology in human history without any need to free-ride on Google’s success.'

The case began after the US Department of Justice accused Google of maintaining a monopoly in online search, partly through a billion-dollar deal with Apple to make Google the default search engine on Safari.

Although Google can no longer enter exclusive search distribution agreements, it can still pay Apple to remain one of the available search options on iPhones. As per the report, oral arguments in the appeal have not yet been scheduled, meaning a final decision may not come until late 2026 or early 2027.

Texas has taken Meta and its messaging platform WhatsApp to court over claims that the app may not be as private as millions of users believe. Attorney General Ken Paxton has accused the company of misleading people by promoting WhatsApp as a fully secure messaging service while allegedly allowing access to user communications in certain situations. The lawsuit has triggered a fresh debate around digital privacy and whether large technology companies are being fully honest about how protected user conversations really are. WhatsApp’s promise of end-to-end encryption has long been one of its biggest selling points. Texas now argues that those claims created a false sense of trust among users across the state and beyond.

According to the lawsuit, WhatsApp has repeatedly advertised that messages exchanged on the platform can only be viewed by the sender and the receiver. The company has often stated that even WhatsApp itself cannot read those chats because of end-to-end encryption.

However, the complaint filed by Texas claims that reports, internal accounts and investigations suggest otherwise. The state alleges that certain employees may have had access to user communications and that message content could be retrieved even after messages were sent. Texas argues that this directly conflicts with the company’s public claims about privacy and security.

Paxton said Texans deserve clarity about whether their personal conversations are actually private. He accused Meta and WhatsApp of misleading users and unlawfully accessing private data while continuing to market the app as secure.

The lawsuit has been filed under the Texas Deceptive Trade Practices Act. Texas is asking the court to stop Meta and WhatsApp from accessing messages belonging to users in the state without permission. It is also seeking financial penalties.

However, Meta has denied all the allegations made in the claim. Andy Stone, the company spokesperson, said that the claims made in the lawsuit are false and insisted that WhatsApp cannot access users’ encrypted conversations.

Meta is once again facing criticism over its workplace culture after a ‘former’ engineer publicly described the company as one of the most toxic places he had worked at following the latest round of layoffs. Earlier this week, the Mark Zuckerberg-led company reportedly reduced 10 per cent of its global workforce which affected around 8,000 employees.

Among the fired employees, former Meta engineer Jeremy Bernier gained the courage and took to X to describe the internal environment at the company. In his posts, Bernier compared Meta’s work culture to survival based shows like Squid Game, Hunger Games and Lord of the Flies. He claimed that employees constantly competed against each other to avoid being pushed out during performance reviews.

As per Bernier, Meta’s internal performance evaluation system made an atmosphere where the employees felt pressured to prioritise individual survival over teamwork. He alleged that the company’s stack ranking review process encouraged the competition between colleagues because workers feared being removed every review cycle.

The former engineer also criticised what he called Meta's “bottom-up” organisational culture. He claimed that technical leads often held influence over employee careers without enough accountability. He alleged that some managers and technical leads shifted blame onto others to protect themselves during evaluations.

Bernier further claimed that the division he worked in, reportedly focused on the Facebook advertising system, was heavily influenced by an intense work culture similar to the controversial 996 schedule once common in parts of China’s tech industry.

Although China has officially prohibited the practice in recent years, Bernier claims that similar expectations exist among certain Meta teams. At the same time, he clarified that his remarks were not intended to be critical of Chinese employees.

This isn't the first time Bernier has publicly criticised Meta following the layoffs. In previous posts, he had also criticised the company's performance management structure, describing it as deeply unhealthy for employees. The company has not publicly responded to Bernier's latest allegations about its workplace culture.

The Motorola Edge 70 Pro+ may debut with a 6.8-inch 1.5K quad-curved LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The device can feature a MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Extreme processor paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. It is also said to get a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W wired charging alongside wireless charging support. It is also expected to ship with Android 16 out of the box.

Realme Watch S5: Launch price and availability

The Realme Watch S5 has debuted in the Indian market at a price of Rs 7,999. It comes in rock grey and sand white colour options. The smartwatch will go on sale starting June 5 at 12pm.

Starbucks wanted an artificial intelligence to count things like milk packs' components, beverages' components, and other supplies faster and more accurately than workers doing it manually.

Where did the technology fail?

According to multiple sources, the problem is that the tool couldn't operate adequately in shops. As per the reports, it failed to count certain products correctly, labelled others wrongly and even failed to distinguish types of milk. It resulted in additional work for people to count things manually and check how accurate the AI's calculations were. Thus, instead of saving efforts, the tool became just one more thing to deal with for staff members.

In general, this case represents a problem associated with the use of technology in business environments. Realme has expanded its Realme 16 series with the launch of a new device, the Realme 16T. Samsung workers’ protest in South Korea has taken an unexpected turn, as the union has put the strike on hold after the company offered employees a generous pay deal. Nearly 89,000 workers at Samsung Electronics are set to vote on the proposed agreement. Electronic voting will begin on Friday afternoon, May 22, and continue until May 27. Union leaders believe the agreement is likely to pass, offering relief to the company and easing concerns about potential disruption to the global chip supply chain. The proposed package includes substantial cash bonuses and stock-based rewards for employees in Samsung’s semiconductor division. Investors have already responded positively to the development, pushing Samsung shares to record highs earlier this week after news of the agreement emerged.

According to the union, the voting process for the pay deal in the South Korean chip manufacturing unit was briefly delayed because of heavy online traffic that caused a server overload. Workers are now expected to cast their votes electronically over the next several days.

For the agreement to pass, more than half of participating members must vote in favour, while at least half of all union members must take part in the process. If the deal fails to secure enough support, negotiations between Samsung and the union will have to begin again.

The agreement was reached on Wednesday after government mediation helped both sides avoid a lengthy strike. The proposed walkout had raised concerns about the impact it could have on South Korea’s economy and the global semiconductor industry, where Samsung remains one of the biggest players.

Following news of the deal, Samsung’s shares jumped 8.5 per cent on Thursday, hitting a record high. The stock briefly touched another peak on Friday before falling back slightly during trading. Under the proposed agreement, all workers in Samsung’s chip division will receive a cash bonus worth 50 per cent of their annual salary. In addition, the company will reserve 10.5 per cent of the division’s operating profit for special stock bonuses.

Some memory chip workers are expected to receive total bonuses of around $416,000 this year, making it one of the most rewarding compensation packages offered by the company in recent years. The outcome of the vote will now decide whether Samsung can move ahead with a stable labour agreement at a time when global demand for advanced chips continues to grow.

After Instants, Meta is now planning to introduce a standalone app called Forum, a platform which focuses entirely on Facebook Groups and community conversations. The app appeared on Apple’s App Store without any formal announcements from the company and seems to position itself as discussion-driven space where users can discover information and interact with communities in a way that resembles platforms like Reddit.

Unlike the regular Facebook feed that mixes posts from friends, Pages, recommended content and groups, Forum is reportedly made around conversations happening inside Groups. The app reportedly allows users to browse discussions from their joined communities in a separate dedicated feed, while also surfacing posts from other Groups based on interests selected during onboarding.

However, Forum is still closely tied to the Facebook ecosystem. The users need a Facebook account to access the app and their existing profile, activity and group memberships automatically carry over after login. While the platform supports anonymised usernames for public interactions, Group administrators can still view the real identity behind those accounts.

The app is said to offer some AI powered tools called Ask which may help users search across multiple Groups at once to find answers without manually browsing each community individually. Meta is also reportedly testing an AI assistant for moderators that can help manage conversations and administrative tasks inside Groups.

Anything posted through Forum will continue syncing with Facebook itself, allowing users to switch between the two apps without losing conversations or discussions. This is not the first time Meta has experimented with a Groups-focused platform. The company had previously launched a standalone Facebook Groups app years ago before discontinuing it in 2017. 

The reports also suggest that Meta has confirmed the app is currently in the testing phase adding that the company frequently experiments with new products publicly. 

If your company uses software to monitor you, your personal data may be reaching more companies than you think. A new study has revealed that several workplace monitoring apps, often called bossware, are allegedly sharing employee data with third parties, including Google, Facebook and Microsoft.

The research was led by Stephanie Nguyen, a senior fellow at Columbia Law School’s Center for Law and the Economy and former chief technologist at the US Federal Trade Commission under Lina Khan. The study examined nine employee tracking platforms and found that all of them shared worker-related information with outside companies.

'The striking piece of this study is that every single platform, nine of nine bossware companies, shared worker data with outside companies. Every single one,' Nguyen told The Verge. 'That blew me away.'

The report reviewed apps including Apploye, Desklog, Hubstaff, Monitask, Buddy Punch, VeriClock, When I Work, Deputy, and Time Doctor. Researchers found that these platforms were sharing data such as employee names, email addresses, company information, IP addresses, browsing activity and websites visited during work.

To investigate, the researchers created trial accounts for both workers and managers and monitored the network traffic generated by the apps. According to the findings, some of the collected information was being sent to platforms connected to advertising and analytics services operated by companies like Google, Meta’s Facebook and Microsoft.

The study also claimed that three of the nine platforms could track workers’ precise locations, even while the apps were running in the background.

Deputy, one of the companies named in the report, rejected the claims of improper tracking. Ciaran Hale, the company’s CTO, said its 'third-party relationships are limited to trusted operational and infrastructure providers that support the delivery, security, and reliability of our platform.'

The researchers warned that this type of data collection could eventually create a long-term 'worker reputation economy,' where employee behaviour and tracking data may continue to impact workers even after they leave a company.

Meta has officially reached a settlement in a major lawsuit filed by a school district in Kentucky that accused the company’s social media platforms of contributing to a gross mental health crisis among students. The lawsuit argued that platforms operated by Meta had negatively affected students’ mental health, forcing schools to spend additional resources on counselling, behavioural support and other interventions. According to the claims, the increasing burden on educational institutions was directly linked to the addictive nature of modern social media platforms.

The Kentucky case was scheduled to go to trial next month. However, several large technology companies named in the lawsuit began settling earlier this month. Companies like TikTok, YouTube and Snapchat were named as defendants along with Meta.

After the agreement, Meta has issued a statement mentioning that the dispute had been resolved amicably and pointed out its efforts to improve online safety tools for young users. The company has also stated that features such as Teen Accounts and parental controls are present and aims to limit negative online experience for minors.

This comes at a time when Meta is already facing a lot of legal and regulatory pressure due to the alleged impact of its platforms on young users. Previously, a Los Angeles court ruled against the company in a separate social media addiction case involving a young Instagram user. During the lawsuit proceedings, the court reportedly accepted the claims that few platform elements are designed to hook the users for endless scrolling and appearance filters, contributing to addiction and mental health issues.

On the other hand, Meta argued that the negative outcomes experienced by users were caused by third-party content rather than the platform design itself. The company is currently seeking to overturn the verdict.

While the financial details of the Kentucky settlement are unknown, the legal battle with social media companies seems to be not over yet. According to reports, thousands of similar lawsuits involving schools, families, and young users remain pending across the United States.

AMD has just unveiled its new Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series processors with the intention to power the next generation of AI-focused PCs and workstations. The company says these chips are designed for heavy AI workloads that usually depend on cloud servers or high-end desktop systems. The processors come with a whopping 192GB unified memory, which allows the processor, graphics, and AI engine to access the same memory pool for faster performance. AMD also claims these are the world’s first x86 client processors capable of running 300-billion-parameter AI models locally.

AMD unveils Ryzen AI Max Pro 400 series processors

In the aforementioned blog post, AMD noted, “To move from simple chatbots to autonomous real-time agents, developers and enterprises need a local execution layer capable of meeting agentic AI’s massive memory and low-latency requirements. AMD meets these needs by enabling developers, businesses and original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) to deliver advanced AI workloads and intelligent agents to local PCs with ease.”

The company then revealed the Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series chips. Getting a bit into details, the new Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series processors are built on AMD’s Zen 5 architecture and are designed for commercial AI PCs, mobile workstations, and compact desktop systems. These processors combine CPU, graphics, and AI processing into a single chip, reducing the need for separate graphics cards in many professional workloads.

AMD says the processors are meant for developers, engineers, and creators who work with demanding AI applications, simulations, and content creation tools. The company is also focusing heavily on local AI processing instead of cloud-based computing. This means AI tasks can run directly on the device, which can improve response times and help keep sensitive data more secure.

The company also announced an upgraded Ryzen AI Halo developer platform that will arrive later this year with Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series chips. This updated platform will support up to 192GB unified memory and 160GB VRAM. OEM partners like HP and Lenovo are expected to launch devices powered by these processors in the third quarter of 2026.

Specs and other details

The top-end Ryzen AI Max+ PRO 495 processor features 16 cores and 32 threads with boost clock speeds of up to 5.2GHz. It comes with 80MB cache, Radeon 8065S graphics, and delivers up to 55 TOPS AI performance. AMD has also included 40 graphics compute units and support for up to 192GB unified memory.

Meanwhile, the Ryzen AI Max PRO 490 comes with 12 cores and 24 threads, while the Ryzen AI Max PRO 485 offers 8 cores and 16 threads. Both chips also support up to 192GB unified memory and feature Radeon 8050S graphics.

AMD says the processors combine RDNA 3.5 graphics architecture with its XDNA 2 AI engine to handle AI tasks, graphics rendering, and professional workloads on a single system. The Ryzen AI Max PRO 400 series processors will be available through leading OEM partners in the third quarter of 2026.

AI startup Anthropic is reportedly in talks with Microsoft to use the tech giant's custom AI chips. This move could help Anthropic reduce its heavy dependence on Nvidia hardware for AI computing. According to a CNBC report, the deal would mean Microsoft supplying its Maia AI chips to Anthropic. While the talks are ongoing, the two companies have not yet finalised any agreement.

If the deal happens, it would be an important step for Microsoft as it tries to compete with cloud rivals Amazon and Google in the growing AI chip market. Both Amazon and Google already offer their own AI chips to customers.

Microsoft introduced its second-generation Maia AI chip, called the Maia 200, earlier this year. However, the company has not yet made the chip widely available through its Azure cloud platform. Microsoft previously said the Maia 200 processor would be used to run OpenAI’s GPT-5.2 model.

The discussions with Anthropic come at a time when the AI company is facing rising demand for computing power. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei recently admitted that the company has had 'difficulties with compute.'

Earlier this year, Anthropic announced plans to use Amazon Web Services’ custom Trainium chips under a long-term agreement reportedly worth more than $100 billion over 10 years. The company has also said it would use Google’s tensor processing unit (TPU) chips.

OpenAI has introduced a major update to its Codex platform, adding new features aimed at helping developers work faster and more smoothly. The update brings Appshots to the Codex app on macOS, adds remote computer use and much more. One of the biggest additions is Appshots for macOS. This feature allows users to quickly share what is happening on your screen with Codex. By pressing both Command keys, users can send the front app window to Codex along with a screenshot and any available text. This removes the need to copy and paste information or explain details manually, making it easier for Codex to understand the task.

OpenAI has also expanded Goal mode, which is no longer experimental. It is now available in the Codex app, IDE extension, and command-line interface (CLI). Goal mode allows Codex to work toward a specific task for a long period of time, even for several hours or days.

Another important update is remote computer use. Codex can now continue using desktop apps even after a Mac has been locked. Users can also access this feature through Codex Mobile. 'Codex scopes locked use to active, trusted computer use turns and includes safeguards such as short-lived authorization, covered displays, relock on local input, and manual-unlock fallback,' OpenAI explained in a changelog.

For businesses, OpenAI has added plugin sharing through marketplace sources for ChatGPT Business users. Teams can now share reusable plugin bundles that include skills, app connections, and MCP servers. Support for Enterprise users is expected later.

With advanced in-app browser annotation, users can now tweak things like font size, spacing, and colours directly using annotations, giving Codex clearer instructions about how pages should look.

The browser system has received performance upgrades as well. Codex can now collect image assets from pages faster and pull structured information more effectively using a read-only JavaScript sandbox. The Chrome extension has also been cleaned up, reducing clutter by avoiding unnecessary tab groups and using icons to show task status instead.

OpenAI has introduced a new feature that lets users create and edit PowerPoint presentations using ChatGPT. The feature, called ChatGPT for PowerPoint, is currently available in beta and allows users to build presentation slides with simple text prompts. With this integration, users no longer need to manually create every slide from scratch. Instead, they can ask ChatGPT to turn notes, documents, spreadsheets or images into a proper presentation deck. The AI can also rewrite content, shorten long paragraphs, improve slide structure and make presentations look more professional while keeping them editable inside PowerPoint.

The new feature is available globally for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Edu, Teachers, and K-12 users. OpenAI is also rolling it out for Free, Go, Plus and Pro users.

One of the key highlights is that ChatGPT works directly inside Microsoft PowerPoint and understands the structure of the presentation. The AI can also help identify weak parts of a presentation by suggesting what information may be missing or what questions an audience might ask during a meeting.

For example, users can type prompts like:

• Create a client-ready presentation from these notes
• Rewrite slide titles to sound more impactful
• Turn this screenshot into an editable slide
• Reduce text and simplify slides for executives

Note that there are some limitations. OpenAI explains, 'Some advanced PowerPoint capabilities may not be supported yet, including complex formatting like template or font handling. ChatGPT can make mistakes and may change or delete content if a request is unclear, so be specific, review what changed, and keep a copy of important decks.'

How to use ChatGPT for PowerPoint

To start using the feature, users first need to install the ChatGPT add-in inside Microsoft PowerPoint.

Here are the steps:

November 19, 2026. This is the day when GTA 6 is finally arriving. (only for consoles, sorry PC players). GTA 6 will not get delayed, Take Two confirms 

Take-Two Interactive has reportedly confirmed that the game is set to launch on time for players across the globe. And this apparently happened during a recent earnings call with shareholders. 

Games Radar even posted a section of the report by Take Two. It reads, "We project Net Bookings to range from $8 to $8.2 billion, which represents 20% growth over Fiscal 2026 at the midpoint, primarily driven by the launch of Grand Theft Auto VI on November 19th."

For those who are unaware, Take-Two Interactive is the parent company of Rockstar Games. 

A new GTA 6 trailer?

In other news, we might finally be getting a new GTA 6 trailer. This rumour comes from a Notebook Check report, attributed to leakster Graczdari_91. Now it is worth mentioning that this leakster isn’t very well known, hence the information has to be taken with a dash of salt. 

That said, he claimed in his post that the next GTA 6 trailer could be out on May 26, Tuesday. The post quickly gained attention on Reddit and saw many comments with people agreeing to the date. 

Not only this, Graczdari’s post also mentioned that a contact at Sony informed him about the company getting ‘a little something’ for marketing purposes from Rockstar. And since Sony just announced its State of Play date as June 2, there is a chance we might get to see something related to GTA 6 there as well. 

Whether we are getting a new trailer or not anytime soon, remains to be seen. Until then, it is important to stay patient and not believe much until there is an official confirmation from Rockstar Games. Keep watching this space for more GTA 6 updates.

Scammers are now coming up with new tricks every day to make fake emails look real. Microsoft was one of the recent victims of this, as the scammers found a loophole that allowed them to misuse one of Microsoft’s internal email addresses and used it to send spam messages with dangerous links and fake warnings. The emails looked official, making it more difficult for users to tell they were scams. Cybersecurity experts say this incident raises concerns about how large tech companies manage their automated email systems. Microsoft has admitted the problem exists, but the company has not yet shared how the misuse started or when it will be fully fixed. The incident has also started discussions about whether companies are acting fast enough to stop trusted online services from being used for scams.

Several users, including reporters and cybersecurity researchers, recently received suspicious emails sent from msonlineservicesteam@microsoftonline.com, an address commonly used by Microsoft for account alerts and security messages. The emails carried subject lines that appeared urgent and included links directing users to unknown websites.

Some messages claimed there had been fraudulent transactions linked to the user’s account, while others told recipients they had a private message waiting online. Despite the poor language and obvious spam content, the use of an official Microsoft address made the emails appear more believable.

Anti-spam group The Spamhaus Project said the activity has been going on for months. In a social media post, the group said automated systems should not allow users to customise official notification emails in such a way. Spamhaus also confirmed that it had informed Microsoft about the issue.

Sony has increased the pricing of its PlayStation Plus subscription service in India across all membership tiers. For the unversed, the Japanese tech giant made a similar price hike announcement for different markets earlier this month. This means that all the games will get to see the revised pricing of PS Plus Essential, Extra, and Deluxe plans. The new rates are already visible on the PlayStation website and communicated to subscribers via email.

The biggest hike was seen in the annual plans across all tiers. The entry-level PS Plus Essential subscription now starts at Rs 649 for a month, compared to the earlier Rs 499 pricing. Meanwhile, the yearly Essential plan now costs Rs 5,139 instead of Rs 3,949.

The PS Plus Extra tier has also become expensive. Now, a one-month membership will cost Rs 979, while the 12-month plan has increased to Rs 8,709 from the earlier Rs 6,699. Similarly, the premium PS Plus Deluxe plan now starts at Rs 1,109 per month, with the annual subscription priced at Rs 9,879.

As per the emails sent to the subscribers, the revised price will apply immediately to the new users. The existing members, however, will continue paying the older rates until their next billing that falls on or after July 19. Sony also clarified that any changes made to existing memberships before that date, including upgrades, downgrades, or extending subscriptions, will automatically shift users to the new pricing structure.

In its communication to customers, Sony mentioned that the adjustment is intended to support continued access to “high-quality games and benefits” through the PlayStation Plus service. Speaking of the reasons, the company cited the increase in ongoing market conditions. Meanwhile, the Pixel 11 Pro model is expected to feature the same display size as the standard model. Powering the device could be the same G6 chip. Google Gemini Omni: Limitations

Google put on an exciting demonstration of the new models, Gemini Omni, during its Google I/O 2026. However, after using the tool in actual productions, I noticed some limitations of the generative AI software. Here are some of the limitations I found:

• The visual consistency of the tool lacks at times. It can be a single frame, or at times the consistency can remain over multiple seconds. It could be anything, like the background textures can warp, clothing colours might subtly shift, or the details might flicker between frames.
• The model occasionally struggles to strictly follow negative prompts or highly specific constraints.
• While Omni understands the basic physics, chaotic or rapid complex motion causes the rendering engine to struggle.
• Omni can make spelling mistakes when writing texts in the background, signs and more.
• You can only generate a video that is under 10 seconds for now.

Apple has officially introduced two new health focused features in India for its wearable ecosystem after receiving regulatory clearance in the country. The company confirmed that Sleep Apnea Notifications for supported Apple Watch models and the Hearing Test feature for AirPods Pro are now available to users in India. Both tools aim to help users identify health conditions early home monitoring and testing.

Sleep Apnea Notifications

The Sleep Apnea Notifications feature is now supported on the Apple Watch SE (3rd generation), Apple Watch Series 9 and newer models, along with Apple Watch Ultra 2 and later variants. Apple says the feature is intended for adults over 18 years of age who have not previously been diagnosed with sleep apnea.

The system uses the Apple Watch’s accelerometer to track breathing irregularities during sleep and analyses patterns over a 30 day period to identify possible signs of moderate to severe sleep apnea. If repeated disturbances are detected, users receive a notification through the Health app and can generate a PDF report containing sleep data that can be shared with doctors.

As per Apple, the underlying algorithm was trained using more than 11,000 nights of sleep data collected from thousands of participants across different age groups and body types. The company says untreated sleep apnea is often associated with conditions such as hypertension, Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular diseases.

Apple Hearing Test Feature

Alongside this, Apple has also rolled out the Hearing Test feature for AirPods Pro models in India. The feature is available via the Hearing section on compatible iPhones and iPads and allows users to assess their hearing levels in roughly five minutes.

The hearing assessment checks responses across multiple sound frequencies using tones played via the earbuds. Before starting the test, the system analyses environmental noise and verifies ear tip fit to improve accuracy. Once completed, users receive hearing results in decibels along with an audiogram stored inside the Health app.

Apple stated that users can export and share the results directly with healthcare professionals. The company also claimed the feature delivered results close to traditional clinical hearing tests during validation studies.

However, Apple clarified that the Hearing Aid functionality for AirPods Pro is still under review for the Indian market and will be introduced later. The company added that all health data collected through these features remains encrypted both locally on devices and in iCloud, with Apple itself unable to access the decryption keys.

Elon Musk’s AI company xAI has landed a massive deal with rival AI startup Anthropic that could bring in more than $40 billion in revenue over the next few years. The details were revealed in a recent filing submitted by SpaceX to the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).

Anthropic has agreed to buy 300 megawatts worth of AI computing power from xAI’s Colossus 1 data center near Memphis. As per filing, Anthropic will pay xAI around $1.25 billion every month until May 2029, with a discounted rate during the first two months while xAI finishes scaling up the facility, reports TechCrunch.

The agreement gives Anthropic access to a huge amount of computing infrastructure, which is becoming increasingly important in the AI industry.

In the filing, SpaceX said the deal 'allows us to monetise unused compute capacity in our infrastructure.' The company also noted, 'We expect to enter into additional similar services contracts.'

The deal highlights an interesting shift in the AI market. Usually, companies either build data centers for their own AI systems or operate them as cloud services for other firms. However, xAI appears to be doing both at the same time. This approach is often referred to as a 'neocloud' model, where companies rent out extra computing power whenever they are not fully using it themselves.

SpaceX defended the strategy in the filing, saying, 'We believe our dual monetisation strategy provides multiple pathways to generate returns on invested capital.'

At the same time, the move has also raised questions about xAI’s current computing needs. Reports suggest that usage of Grok, xAI’s AI chatbot, has declined in recent months. This may have left the company with more unused servers than expected.

The contract is said to allow either company to end the agreement with a 90-day notice.

SpaceX has warned investors about the potential risks linked to xAI’s Grok chatbot in its latest pre-IPO filing. The company highlighted concerns around harmful content, lawsuits, and regulatory investigations tied to Grok’s image-generation features. The warning appeared in SpaceX's S-1 filing submitted on Wednesday, a few months after the company acquired xAI. The acquisition brought Grok, xAI's social media platform and several AI features under SpaceX's control.

In the filing, SpaceX said Grok’s NSFW (not-safe-for-work) features could create 'heightened risks' and lead to 'reputational harm' because the chatbot’s NSFW modes are 'more irreverent and harsher than our standard offerings.'

As per Business Insider, the company also warned about the possible 'generation of potentially explicit content,' including 'potential nonconsensual or exploitative imagery.' According to the filing, Grok-generated content could sometimes be seen as 'harmful, harassing, abusive, or discriminatory,' while also raising intellectual property concerns.

SpaceX confirmed in the filing that it is currently dealing with 'investigations and inquiries' in the US related to 'allegations that our AI products were used to create nonconsensual explicit images or content representing children in sexualised contexts, and similar matters.' For those unaware, Grok faced criticism earlier this year over the creation of non-consensual AI-generated sexual images of women, including minors. The controversy triggered backlash from government officials and led to lawsuits against the company.

The filing further stated: 'The Company and certain subsidiaries have been named as defendants in multiple lawsuits arising from Grok's image-generation and editing features.'

SpaceX said it plans to 'defend itself vigorously in these actions.' Earlier this year, Elon Musk also responded to the allegations, saying he was 'not aware of any naked underage images generated by Grok.'

The filing also mentioned an inquiry by the Irish Data Protection Commission regarding the handling of personal data of European Union users, including children.

OpenAI has once again made a big claim in the world of AI and mathematics. The company says that one of its latest AI reasoning models has successfully solved a famous geometry problem that remained unsolved for nearly 80 years. The problem was originally proposed by legendary mathematician Paul Erdos in 1946. 

This announcement is especially interesting because OpenAI faced criticism last year after making a similar claim. About seven months ago, former OpenAI VP Kevin Weil posted on X that GPT-5 had solved several unsolved Erdos problems. However, it was later found that the AI had only rediscovered solutions that already existed in mathematical research papers.

That earlier claim led to criticism from well-known AI researchers like Yann LeCun and Demis Hassabis. Weil later deleted his post.

This time, OpenAI appears to have taken extra care before making the announcement public. The company also shared supporting comments from respected mathematicians, including Noga Alon, Melanie Wood and Thomas Bloom.

'For nearly 80 years, mathematicians believed the best possible solutions looked roughly like square grids,' OpenAI posted on X. 'An OpenAI model has now disproved that belief, discovering an entirely new family of constructions that performs better.'

OpenAI says this is 'the first time AI has autonomously solved a prominent open problem central to a field of mathematics.'

The company also explained that the proof was generated by a general-purpose reasoning model rather than a system specially built for solving maths problems. According to OpenAI, this shows how modern AI systems are becoming better at handling long and difficult chains of reasoning.

'AI is helping us to more fully explore the cathedral of mathematics we have built over the centuries,' Bloom was quoted as saying in OpenAI's blogspot. 'What other unseen wonders are waiting in the wings?'

Metashot’s gaming console 

If you’ve heard about MetaShot, it is likely because of their popularity due to the cricket game that launched a few months back. They’ve gained a lot of popularity ever since, and another reason for it is that they’ve also had a recent appearance on Shark Tank India. 

While the company continues to work on their cricket game, they’ve now partnered up with Yudiz Solutions, a game development company, to launch what it claims is the world's first smart pickleball game. They’re targeting it as an exclusive title built for MetaShot's motion gaming console. 

How it actually works

In case you’re wondering how the sport would actually work, it’s pretty simple, actually. Players need to use a smart paddle that has motion tracking built in, and their real-life swings control the game in real time. Just like their cricket game, the actual human movement would be recorded as the input. Due to this, timing, swing direction, and reaction speed are all going to matter in the same way they would on a real court.

This is also the first time MetaShot has opened its proprietary motion gaming platform and SDKs to an external game development studio. Until now, the company has built everything in-house. As per the company, Pickleball marks the beginning of a platform ecosystem for third-party developers and studios.

MetaShot Pickleball release date

As of now, the company hasn’t announced an exact launch date yet. However, they have given a release time. The smart pickleball game is set to launch in the US in the third quarter of this financial year, with the India release date yet to be announced.
