The statistics have been collected from over 5,800 H-1B and similar visa petitions filed by Meta in 2025. They also cover recruitment within their various divisions such as WhatsApp and the payment service. While top roles received very high salaries, most jobs fell between $150,000 and $250,000, showing strong pay even at mid levels.

Why WhatsApp's noise cancellation feature matters

Noise cancellation can be especially helpful for people who frequently make calls from busy locations. If users feel the feature changes their call audio in an unwanted way, they can disable it at any time.

For now, the feature is available to only a limited number of Android beta testers. Since WhatsApp usually rolls out new features gradually, more users are expected to receive the noise cancellation option in the coming weeks, as per the report.

Many of us install mobile apps without paying much attention to the permissions they request. However, a recent alert from the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) warns that some apps could pose risks to users’ personal data. The agency has raised concerns about foreign-developed apps and the amount of information they may collect from smartphones.

According to the FBI, many of the most downloaded and highest-grossing apps are developed by companies outside the US. Some of these companies are based in China. The agency explains that companies operating in China must comply with national security laws that could require them to provide access to data collected through their platforms. 

The agency emphasises that the advisory highlights 'data security risks associated with foreign-developed mobile applications (apps) frequently used in the United States; however, these concerns are global.'

Data security risks

When users download an app, they are usually asked to allow certain permissions. If approved, these permissions can enable the app to continuously collect information from the device, sometimes even when the app is not actively being used.

The FBI notes that some apps may gather personal details such as names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses and user IDs. Many platforms also allow users to invite friends or contacts to join the app. When permission to access contacts is given, developers may collect information from the user’s address book as well. This means personal details of people who are saved in the contact list may also be exposed, even if they do not use the app.

The agency also points out that some apps store collected information on servers located in China and may retain it for as long as the developers consider necessary. In some cases, apps could also include malware that can collect data beyond what is authorised by the user.

How to protect your data

Users are advised to take the following precautions:

• Disable permissions or data sharing that an app does not require.
• Download apps only from official and trusted app stores.
• Change and update passwords regularly.
• Keep device software updated to the latest version.
• Read terms of service or end user license agreement before installing downloading apps.

iPhone Fold design render 

Over on X (formerly Twitter), user @MajinBuofficia shared a few design renders of the upcoming iPhone, which have got a lot of eyes. In his tweet, he shared four pictures detailing the iPhone Fold. Along with that, he also claims that this is the final design of the upcoming iPhone Fold. Attached below is the tweet, so you can have a look at the latest design render. 

Taking a look at the render reveals some intriguing details about the design. While most foldables traditionally follow a portrait flip-screen design, such as the Galaxy Z Flip series, or a horizontal folding design that is more rectangular, like the Z Fold series, the iPhone Fold would take a different approach. 

Instead of going with the Samsung route, Apple has chosen a design that resembles a book-style foldable much more. While other book-style foldables have a rectangular screen in the front, which is usually a bit smaller to use, the iPhone Fold will have a much larger screen to play around with. This would make the inner screen much larger than other foldables on the market, since the device is meant to be unfolded. 

iPhone Fold: Specifications

While the technical aspects of the upcoming iPhone Fold would only be revealed once the device is actually unveiled by Apple officially, we do have some leaked details. Leakers suggest that the phone could come with a 4.5 mm ultra-thin design and the latest A20 Pro chip, which would be featured in the iPhone 18 Pro series. Additionally, due to its form factor, leakers are suggesting that the phone could have a much larger battery, ranging from 5,300 mAh to 5,800 mAh.

Meta's Superintelligence Labs (MSL) is assembling a dedicated hardware team, separate from its existing Reality Labs division, as the company expands its ambitions in artificial intelligence-powered devices.

According to a report by Business Insider, the effort has seen some engineers from Reality Labs, the division behind Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses and Quest virtual reality headsets, transition to MSL to prototype the AI division's software on existing Reality Labs hardware. The two departments are expected to continue working closely together, though the new team will operate independently.

To lead the hardware effort at MSL, Meta is hiring Rui Xu, a veteran engineer who most recently headed hardware at Dreamer, an AI agent startup whose founding team Meta acqui-hired last month. Before Dreamer, Xu served as chief operating officer of K-Scale, a robotics startup that closed down last year. He has also held roles at ByteDance, where he led a smart devices lab that reportedly shipped millions of units in China, and has management experience at Xiaomi, Lenovo, and Tencent.

MSL is led by Alexandr Wang, who joined Meta after the company acquired his startup Scale AI for $14.5 billion. In a podcast appearance, Wang said Meta wants to build a "constellation" of devices that can host a personalised AI agent, one that is "always on" and can see and hear what its user does. The nature of the hardware devices the new team will develop has not been disclosed.

Meta's Ray-Ban AI smart glasses, developed by Reality Labs, have sold over 7 million units to date and is the company's most commercially successful hardware product so far. The new MSL hardware effort appears to be aimed at building devices beyond the smart glasses and headset categories, though specifics remain unclear.

The move comes as several major technology companies compete to develop AI-native personal devices. OpenAI is working on a hardware product being designed by Jony Ive, the former Apple chief designer. Apple is said to be developing its own smart glasses and London-based Nothing is reportedly exploring similar products.

Alongside its hardware efforts, Meta has also announced a new top-level infrastructure initiative called Meta Compute earlier this year, with CEO Mark Zuckerberg stating the company plans to build "tens of gigawatts" of compute capacity this decade. Daniel Gross, former chief executive of Safe Superintelligence, has been brought in to lead long-term capacity planning for the effort, while Dina Powell McCormick, who recently joined as president and vice chairman, will handle partnerships with governments and sovereign entities on infrastructure financing and deployment.

Years of significant losses at Reality Labs have accumulated nearly $80 billion since 2020, including over $6 billion in the final quarter of 2025 alone. The division was central to Meta's earlier bet on the metaverse, a vision that CEO Zuckerberg outlined when he renamed Facebook to Meta in 2021. As we approach closer to the launch date of this year's most-awaited title, GTA 6, rumours around what we can expect from the game are being circulated in full swing. After being delayed several times, we might finally get to play Rockstar's upcoming game on November 19 this year. And if recent speculations are to be believed, GTA 6 will be borrowing some features from yet another hit game from the same studio- Red Dead Redemption. Read on to know more.

GTA 6 new prediction

The source of this speculation is Rob Carr, who was earlier working as an audio designer with Rockstar Games. Carr, in an interview with YouTube channel Kiwi Talkz, said that the game could borrow some game mechanics from Red Dead Redemption 2. He added that he would be surprised if some older systems aren't a part of the game. Even though he didn't really specify what elements will be there in the upcoming game, he did mention that certain things from both RDR 2 and GTA V will make it to GTA 6.

Given Rockstar's history of building upon features that have been introduced in earlier games, this is a believable prediction. Meanwhile, Carr has worked on GTA 5 and both RDR games. Hence, his word carries a lot of weight.

GTA 6 to feature real-time character aging?

This isn't the first time that GTA 6 is drawing comparisions from RDR 2. In September last year, it was being said that the game might feature real-time character aging, which is something similar to what we saw in RDR 2.

The real-time aging mechanic, if implemented, would mean that we get to see protagonists evolve physically and possibly even emotionally across the game’s timeline. Instead of the static character models seen in past GTA games, GTA 6 might just let players experience the characters’ journeys with visible changes to their faces, bodies, and perhaps even voices. This could add new layers to storytelling and gameplay, as aging might affect everything from stamina and appearance to how NPCs interact with the player.

Now did RDR 2 also have character aging? No. But did it lay the foundation for it? Absolutely.

Even though the game didn’t include real-time aging, it pushed boundaries with its life-simulation elements. The protagonist Arthur Morgan’s beard and hair grew over time, requiring grooming. His weight changed based on food intake, affecting stamina and performance. Moreover, scars and injuries left lasting marks on his body. These mechanics created a sense of realism that players praised for years. 

If GTA 6 adopts a full-fledged aging system, it would be the next step forward building upon this concept. In other words, what started as small immersive details in RDR2 could become a defining mechanic in Rockstar’s new flagship game. However, none of this has been confirmed by Rockstar yet so we wouldn't get too excited until something is officially announced.

Sony recently shared more details about its joint venture agreement with TCL. The new entity will be called Bravia Inc., and it will take over Sony’s global TV and related hardware operations. It will also continue to use the Sony and Bravia branding. That’s not it, now we have more details about the ownership and structure, what both parties gain from this ‘strategic partnership’. Let’s also address what this means for us, users. 

Bravia Inc explained: Ownership, structure and scope

Bravia Inc will be a Tokyo-based company. More specifically, the headquarters will be in Sony City Osaki, Tokyo, Japan.

The company will be responsible for Sony’s entire home entertainment portfolio, including TVs, B2B displays and LED panels, projectors, home audio products such as soundbars and home theatre systems. It will be handling end-to-end operations, from product development to sales and service of these products. 

The company is expected to begin operations in April 2027, once it has the regulatory approvals.

The joint venture will be majority-owned by TCL (51%), with Sony holding the rest 49%. In other words, Bravia Inc will be a consolidated subsidiary of TCL Electronics Holdings Limited.

Sony will remain a strategic partner with continued influence on product direction. 

Key executives in the leadership will be:

• Chairperson and CEO: Kazuo Kii (currently Executive Deputy President at Sony).
• Joint-COO: Fumiatsu Hirai (Sony).
• Joint-COO: Biao Jiang (TCL).
• Director (Non-full-time): Hiroshi Nakamura (Sony).
• Director (Non-full-time): Bin Luo (TCL).

The deal values the business at around 102.8 billion yen, with TCL investing roughly 75.4 billion yen (about $475 million) for its stake.

What this means for Sony and the broader market

Sony is transferring its full home entertainment division into Bravia Inc, including:

• Product development and engineering
• Sales, logistics, and customer support
• Key manufacturing assets. Even Sony’s Malaysia unit is moving to TCL, and discussions are going on for its China facility.

Bravia Inc is a restructuring exercise, and as per analysts, the combined market share of Sony and TCL could reach about 16.7%. With this, the competition could spice up in the global TV market.

The joint venture will continue to carry the Sony branding and product identity. Its products could benefit from Sony’s processing and tuning chops, innovations and premium positioning and trust. 

Meanwhile, Sony would stand to gain TCL’s manufacturing scale and cost efficiency. 

What it means for users

In the near term, we expect to get Bravia-branded products with broadly the same audiovisual tuning associated with Sony. 

And perhaps, over time, the combined strengths of Sony and TCL could result in more competitive pricing and faster rollout of newer technologies. 

Also, currently, Sony is heavily invested in OLED for its flagships, and TCL has its bets on SQD Mini LED. So, let’s see how Bravia Inc balances these two directions. Over the longer term, maybe, the joint venture could source OLED panels from TCL’s inkjet OLED factory, though that remains speculative at this stage.

The Samsung Galaxy A37 and A57 debuted last month, and now, according to the latest leaks and rumours, Samsung could be preparing to launch the Galaxy A27 soon. While there’s no confirmation of the exact launch date yet, several reports suggest we are getting close to the launch. A Samsung phone with model number SM-A276B was recently spotted on Geekbench, running on the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, heavily implying that this could be the upcoming Galaxy A27. And yes, you read that right, if this listing is to be believed, then Samsung could be ditching Exynos in favour of a Snapdragon chipset.

Here is everything you need to know about the rumoured Samsung Galaxy A27 5G.

Galaxy A27: The price problem

Before we get down to the nitty-gritty of the hardware, let's talk about the price. We all know that component prices have risen because of the huge demand in AI. Because of this, all phones released in 2026 have seen price hikes. Even in the Galaxy A series, the A37 and A57 now start upwards of Rs 40,000 and Rs 50,000, respectively, in India. Seeing this, I am expecting that the Galaxy A27 could land around the Rs 30,000 price point in India.

Of course, this will put Samsung in a tricky spot. At around Rs 30,000, you’re bumping into phones like the Nothing Phone 4a or even older flagships that you can buy these days with offers and discounts. So, asking people to pay a premium for a Snapdragon 6 series chip and the rest of the hardware that comes with it could be a tough sell.

I’m curious to see if the Samsung brand name and that promised software support are enough to keep people interested, or if they’ll start looking elsewhere for better value.

Galaxy A27: Under the hood, more of the same?

Ditching Exynos in favour of Qualcomm is definitely going to be the big talking point here. The previous Galaxy A26 used the Exynos 1380, and that chipset is an okay mid-range SoC. It gets you through the regular stuff like browsing, texting, and Instagram scrolling, but it does struggle a bit under pressure. Now, moving to the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 could probably help with efficiency, but early Geekbench scores (777 in single-core, 1,802 in multi-core) aren't exactly the best, considering the phone’s segment. Additionally, the leaks also suggest that there could be 6GB RAM as the baseline. Also expected is One UI 8.5 atop Android 16, and a 6.7-inch Full-HD+ Super AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

Galaxy A27: The camera and battery situation

Now, apart from the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip and the supposed ‘price hike’, the camera specs are also looking the same as last year’s A26. The Galaxy A27 is said to feature a triple-rear camera system, including a 50MP primary, an 8MP ultra-wide and a 2MP macro lens. Interestingly, the selfie camera might drop from 13MP to 12MP. But, before you think of it as a downgrade, rumour has it the sensor is actually larger, which should mean better photos with better exposure.

However, the real highlight for me is the jump to 45W fast wired charging. Rumours suggest the Galaxy A27 could feature the same 5,000mAh battery as its siblings, the Galaxy A37 and A57, but on the good side, charging speeds could be bumped to 45W, up from 25W on the Galaxy A26.

Galaxy A26: Closing thoughts

Overall, it will be interesting to see how well the market receives the Galaxy A27 once it finally goes official. We can expect it to launch sometime later this month.

In terms of the rumoured changes, what’s really standing out right now is the new 12MP selfie camera, 45W charging and the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, which I am not sure whether to call an upgrade or downgrade over the Exynos 1380. But let’s hope Samsung has some surprises for us in store with this one.

Anthropic has decided to stop supporting third-party tools like OpenClaw in its Claude subscriptions. This move has caused frustration among users. The change will take effect at 12 PM PT on Saturday, according to Boris Cherny, head of Claude Code, who shared the update in a post on X. Users who want to continue using OpenClaw with Claude will need to either purchase extra usage bundles linked to their Claude account or use a separate API key through Anthropic’s developer platform. 

Explaining the move, Cherny said, 'We’ve been working hard to meet the increase in demand for Claude, and our subscriptions weren't built for the usage patterns of these third-party tools. Capacity is a resource we manage thoughtfully and we are prioritising our customers using our products and API.'

Anthropic also clarified that using Claude subscriptions with third-party tools goes against its terms of service. A company spokesperson told Business Insider that third-party tools put an 'outsized strain on our systems.'

In an X post, Peter Steinberger, the creator of OpenClaw, wrote that he and Dave Morin, a board member of the OpenClaw foundation,  tried to 'talk sense into Anthropic' and 'best we managed was delaying this for a week.'

'We told Anthropic that we have many users who only signed up for their sub because of OpenClaw and that it'd be a loss if they cut them off,' Steinberger told Business Insider. 'Now they try to bury the news on a Friday night.'

User reactions on X have been mostly negative, with some even saying they may cancel their Claude subscription. One user wrote, 'I love you guys, and Claude is amazing, but this low-key sucks… this decision is actually going to actively hurt a lot of people,' while another commented, 'Subscribed to Claude, but now paying extra for the Claw. Wah, what a scheme!'

The Samsung Galaxy S26 series arrived in the Indian markets earlier this year, and ever since its launch, the devices have been making headlines. The devices received mixed feedback from the fans, with many not being impressed with the base S26 and S26+ variants, but the main highlight was the privacy screen on the S26 Ultra. First reported by 91mobiles, the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE has been spotted on Geekbench before its official launch. The device will follow the same route as the other Samsung FE launches, where the maker aims to provide the features of the S at a more affordable price, with adjustments to the internal components like the SoC.

The Geekbench score that is being surfaced shows the model number ‘SM-S741U’, and furthermore, it also showcases major specifications of the device. As per the listing, the device runs on a 10-core Exynos 2500 CPU. Geekbench reports that the phone can hit a peak clock speed of 3.30 GHz. 

In terms of the graphical power, the device would come with the Samsung Xclipse 950 GPU. Furthermore, the listing under memory information reveals about 6.8GB of RAM, meaning that the device will likely come with an 8GB RAM option as the base model, with the chances of higher RAM options in the higher-end models. Last but not least, the device was also seen running on Android 17, which would likely be based on the upcoming One UI 9.  

Further specifications, like the camera and battery details, are awaited; chances are that they would most likely be revealed once we’re a bit closer to the launch date. Speaking of which, let’s move on and talk about the expected release date for the device. 

Samsung Galaxy S26 FE: Release date and price

While no details about the launch date have been revealed so far, based on proper speculation, the device could arrive somewhere around September. The S series’ FE lineup is usually refreshed around six months after the S-series hits the market. The same was seen with the Galaxy S25 series, where the S25 FE arrived in the market around September last year. 

With the S26 FE, the launch timeline is expected to be similar. Further details of the launch are awaited, as Samsung has yet to officially announce the device. The expected starting price for the Samsung Galaxy S26 FE is around Rs 65,999 in India.

iPhone Air deal

He requested ground teams to remotely access the device and investigate the problem.

According to reports, the personal computing device used by the crew is believed to be a Microsoft Surface Pro. Engineers on Earth quickly stepped in and remotely accessed the system to fix the glitch. After some time, they were able to restore access. However, the application continued to show an offline status, which mission control clarified was expected in that environment.

The news regarding the communication error was shared by an X account named Latest in Space. The post also had the audio exchange between the ground team and the astronauts.

The Outlook challenge isn't the only one faced by the crew out in the space. In the past, a toilet fan on the spacecraft had stopped working shortly after takeoff. However, the team on the ground quickly assisted the astronauts in troubleshooting the issue. As a result of that, the fan is up and working again.

The makers already have foresight for such issues, and alternatives were already provided. Hence, the astronauts used the other backup waste management options available during the repair period.

Anthropic has expanded its computer use capability for Claude, bringing the feature to Windows after initially rolling it out on macOS. The update allows the AI assistant to carry out a variety of tasks directly on a user’s computer. This comes after the company announced the rollout via its official account on X, stating that the feature is now available through Claude Cowork and Claude Code Desktop. The capability is currently being offered as a research preview to subscribers of Claude Pro and Claude Max.

This computer use feature allows Claude to interact with the system in the same way that human users do. It can open apps, navigate software interfaces, write and test code, identify bugs, and even fix them with minimal input. According to Anthropic, users can initiate complex workflows with a single prompt, allowing the AI to manage multiple stages of app development and testing independently.

On Windows, the feature does not require extensive setup. After installation, Claude will be able to access system resources and execute tasks within the approved boundaries. Users can retain control by using session-based permissions, which means that the AI can only interact with applications that have been explicitly authorised during that session. Additional safeguards include sensitive access alerts, a single session control lock, and the ability to halt operations immediately using simple commands such as the Esc key.

The AI giant has also integrated the feature with the Dispatch tool, which allows users to assign tasks to Claude remotely via smartphone, expanding its utility beyond the desktop environment.

In separate news, the company addressed recent user concerns about Claude's faster-than-usual usage limits. Lydia Hallie stated that users were not overcharged, citing tighter limits during peak usage periods and longer context sessions. She also recommended that Pro users choose the Claude Sonnet 4.6 model for more efficient use, noting that higher-end models tend to consume resources faster.

OpenAI is seeing massive demand for its AI tools, and the company says it is running into a major challenge. According to OpenAI Chief Financial Officer Sarah Friar, the company is currently forced to turn down some opportunities because it does not have enough computing capacity to support them. In an interview with ARK Invest CEO Cathie Wood released this week, Friar said that the issue is particularly acute in 2026 as global demand for AI continues to surge.

'We're making some very tough trades at the moment and things we're not pursuing because we don't have enough compute,' Friar said, reports Business Insider. She explained that a significant part of her time is currently spent trying to find additional computing capacity. 'Today, I do spend a lot of time trying to find any last-minute compute available here in 2026.'

OpenAI President Greg Brockman also highlighted this challenge in an interview on the Big Technology Podcast. According to him, the company is struggling to keep up with the growing demand for its AI tools.

The shortage has forced OpenAI to make choices about where it invests its resources. Brockman said the company is now focusing on a few key areas, such as building a personal AI assistant and developing tools that can handle complex tasks.

'We cannot build compute fast enough to keep up with demand,' Brockman said, describing the situation as forcing 'very painful decisions' about which products to launch and where to reallocate resources.

Recently, OpenAI announced plans to discontinue its AI video generation app Sora. The Desert Rose series is built around Haier’s AI-Atmox platform, which splits functionality into three areas: comfort, power savings, and maintenance.

On the cooling side, AI Climate Control 2.0 studies usage patterns, room size, and outside weather to adjust performance automatically. This means you don't have to manually tune the settings and should help maintain stable temperatures in fluctuating conditions. There is Dynamic Environmental Adaptation, which further fine-tunes output in real time and should be useful in regions where heat intensity changes through the day.

Then there is AI Target Cooling, which directs airflow towards people in the room instead of cooling the entire room uniformly. So, you could feel the cooling better, and power need not be spent to cool the entire room.

In practice, this can improve perceived cooling speed while lowering power consumption. There is also AI Pre-Cooling, which should detect your proximity to the connected smartphone app's GPS. It has a 100-metre geofence and starts cooling before you arrive home.

For saving power, the AC also include multi-level AI Eco mode and AI Electricity Monitoring. The latter gives you usage data, cost estimates, and tracking tools to actively manage electricity bills.

Besides operation, even for maintenance, these ACs have AI Frost Self-Clean in the indoor unit every 240 hours, and the outdoor unit sports AI ODU Cyclone Clean, which reverses airflow to remove dust. Microsoft has introduced three new AI models that can generate text, voice and images. The new models- MAI-Transcribe-1, MAI-Voice-1 and MAI-Image-2- are now available through Microsoft Foundry and MAI Playground. The tech giant says these models focus on speed, accuracy and affordability. 

MAI-Transcribe-1 is designed to convert speech into text. It supports transcription in the 25 most-used languages and is designed to perform well even in noisy, real-world environments. Microsoft says MAI-Transcribe-1 can process batch transcription about 2.5 times faster than the company’s existing Azure Fast offering. MAI-Transcribe-1 is 'not just the most accurate, but also lightning fast,' the company said.

The second model, MAI-Voice-1, is designed to generate realistic AI voices. Microsoft says it can produce 'natural, realistic speech, rich with nuance, emotional range and expression that preserves speaker identity even across long-form content.'

A key feature of MAI-Voice-1 is the ability for developers to create a custom AI voice using only a few seconds of recorded audio. Also, Microsoft claims this model can generate 60 seconds of audio in just one second.

The third model, MAI-Image-2, focuses on image generation. The model is said to offer at least twice the image generation speed compared to previous systems. The MAI-Image-2 AI model has already started rolling out in Bing and PowerPoint.

'MAI-Image-2 was created with photographers, designers, and visual storytellers that demand natural lighting, accurate skin tones and texture, and clear in-image text for diagrams, layouts, and graphics,' the tech giant said.

MAI-Transcribe-1 starts at $0.36 per hour, while MAI-Voice-1 starts at $22 per 1M characters. MAI-Image-2 starts at $5 per 1M tokens for text input and $33 per 1M tokens for image output.

After source code leak controversy, Anthropic has reportedly acquired AI biotech startup Coefficient Bio in a deal valued at around $400 million, as per report by The Information. This comes amid the AI companies have been expanding into AI industry specific AI solutions, specifically in healthcare and life sciences.

According to the report, the small but specialised team at Coefficient Bio will join Anthropic's healthcare division following the acquisition. Despite its recent formation, the startup has created a platform to assist artificial intelligence in managing complex biotech workflows such as drug discovery, research planning and regulatory strategy development.

The acquisition comes after Anthropic announced plans to expand its AI capabilities beyond general-purpose tools into domain-specific applications. In recent months, the company has been actively working to improve its AI assistant Claude by adding features tailored to scientific and medical use cases. These include integrations with platforms like Benchling and BioRender, as well as tools for drafting clinical protocols and regulatory documents.

The company has also announced collaborations with major pharmaceutical and research companies such as Sanofi, Novo Nordisk, Genmab, AbbVie, the Allen Institute, and HHMI. Earlier this year, the company added features that enable healthcare professionals and insurers to use its AI systems in accordance with medical data regulations.

Meanwhile, Anthropic recently accidentally leaked the Claude Code source code through a misconfigured npm package. Many shared that they had been working with the company for decades, and even after so much time with the company, they were fired without any prior notice. 

One such post, which has been making news, contains the details about a person who had been involved with the company for over 20 years. The user explained how his dad had just 2 years left before his eventual retirement, but even after giving the company so much, he was laid off via email. What’s more troubling is the fact that the user said that the affected person has cancer, and now that he has been fired, he will have no health insurance under his name.

While Reddit posts are usually hard to verify given the anonymous nature of the website, this is not just one single instance. Below the aforementioned post, many users have posted comments detailing a similar experience. Employees who had been there for 10 years to even 30 years were fired. Several of these people include those who have been battling serious health issues like cancer.

Severance packages for affected employees

Latest reports from Business Insider have revealed the details regarding the severance packages that Oracle is offering to the affected employees in the US. As per the report, the affected employees would be receiving about four weeks of their base salary. 

They would also be getting paid for an additional week for every year of service, though it has been capped at 26 weeks. Unfortunately, as mentioned in the Reddit posts too, there have been no details regarding extended healthcare or insurance coverage.

A few screenshots that detailed the severance packages for affected Indian employees were also seen on X. Though at the given moment, it’s hard to verify whether or not those screenshots are real or fake because they have not been cited from official sources.

Season 4 of Panchayat brought several important changes to the story. One of the biggest moments revolved around the village elections. For a long time, Manju Devi had been serving as the village Pradhan. However, she lost the position and the responsibility of leading the village was taken over by Kranti Devi. 

The season also continued the personal journey of Abhishek Tripathi, also known as Sachiv Ji. While working as the secretary in Phulera, Abhishek remained focused on improving his career prospects. His hard work finally paid off when he successfully cleared the CAT exam. Also, we saw the growing bond between Abhishek and Rinki.

What to expect in Panchayat season 5

Panchayat season 5 is expected to feature an important decision in Abhishek’s life. After clearing the CAT exam, he may now leave Phulera to pursue higher studies and move forward in his career. Viewers can also expect Abhishek and Rinki’s relationship grow further. The shift in village leadership may also play a key role in the upcoming storyline.

Panchayat season 5 release timeline and cast

Panchayat season 5 is set to arrive sometime in 2026 on Amazon Prime Video. The new season will likely bring back the familiar cast, including Jitendra Kumar, Neena Gupta, Raghubir Yadav, Sanvikaa, Faisal Malik and Chandan Roy.

Redmi have quietly increased the prices of some of their popular smartphones in India. The devices which received the price hike are the recently launched Redmi Note 15, Redmi 15, and Redmi 15C. Do note that Redmi is not the only company that has increased the prices of its devices after the launch. The current price hike by the Chinese manufacturer can be considered as a part of the ongoing trend in the Indian smartphone market, where companies are updating their pricing based on the increased costs of their components. The companies state that the hike is due to the ongoing shortage of the memory chips and the increased cost of the components used in the devices.

The Redmi Note 15, which was launched earlier in January this year, has become costlier by Rs 2,000, as the base model with 8GB RAM and 128GB internal memory was priced at Rs 22,999. However, with the latest hike, this device will now cost Rs 24,999.

On the other hand, the high-end model with an 8GB RAM and 256GB internal memory was priced at Rs 24,999. However, with the latest hike, this device will now cost Rs 27,999. This is an increase of Rs 3,000.

The Redmi 15 device has become costlier. The base model was priced at Rs 14,999. However, with the latest hike, this device will now cost Rs 18,499. On the other hand, other variants have become costlier by the same amount. This means that this device is now priced in a segment that is higher than before.

On the other hand, the Redmi 15C, which was one of the cheapest devices, has become costlier. This device was priced at Rs 12,499. However, with the latest hike, this device will now cost Rs 15,499. This is an increase of Rs 3,000.

With these price changes, all three devices now fall in a different price segment compared to what was present when these devices were first launched. Additionally, experts opine that the price rise could influence how consumers perceive these devices, especially when compared to other devices in the same range.
