Robert Sovereign Smith

About me

Robert is one of the longest serving technology journalists on our staff, with over 20 years of experience as a writer and editor of technology and science content. He currently serves Digit in the capacity of Editor-in-Chief. Better known to our readers via his alias "Raaabo", he's (in)famous for trying to overclock Celerons from 2001, modding PCs (terribly) with his trusty Dremel, and "accidentally" dropping a vat of liquid nitrogen on the floor to see if you literally can "freeze your socks off".

He is most likely to be found sitting in front of his triple-monitor, gaming PC, which he only uses to play Minesweeper, and occasionally Quake III, Fallout 4 and Vampire Survivors. Twice a year he disappears into the Australian wilderness with his family on a "road trip", which might be code for weird cultist rituals… if you ever find that secret out, make sure to let the rest of Team Digit know!
