Google seems to be preparing for another addition to its Fitbit lineup shortly after launching the screenless Fitbit Air. The upcoming Fitbit Edge is reportedly being positioned between the Fitbit Air and the company’s more premium smartwatch offerings, with an oval display and several features that are missing from the display-free tracker. While we do not know much about the product, here is everything that we know so far.
As per the leaked product details identified by Android Headlines, the Fitbit Edge can feature an AMOLED panel with support for app and call notifications. The wearable is also said to offer controls for music and media, along with access to Google Maps, YouTube Music and Find My Phone. This would make it a more conventional smartwatch-style fitness tracker compared with the Fitbit Air.

The Fitbit Edge is also tipped to support GPS and Bluetooth connectivity. On the health front, the wearable might offer 24/7 heart-rate tracking, SpO2 monitoring and skin-temperature measurements. It is also expected to work with Google Health Premium, although it is unclear whether the subscription will be bundled with the device and for how long.
In terms of battery life, the device may offer up to seven days of usage on a single charge. However, the actual endurance will depend on how features such as GPS and the display are used.
The pricing might put the Fitbit Edge in a slightly higher segment than the Fitbit Air. Leaks suggest a price between $149 and $199, which translates to roughly Rs 15,000 to Rs 20,000 in India, although exact pricing remains unconfirmed.
The Fitbit Edge is reportedly scheduled to launch by the end of October, potentially ahead of Diwali. Google has not yet officially confirmed the wearable, its specifications, pricing, or launch date, so these details should be treated as early information until the company makes an announcement.
