Nokia Smart TV goes on sale on Flipkart for Rs 41,999

Nokia forayed into the smart TV segment with the launch of Nokia Smart TV on December 5. The TV is now up for grabs through Flipkart. The 55-inch TV is priced at Rs 41,999. As for the features, the TV runs Android TV 9 out of the box with support for Netflix and Prime Videos. It has a 10-bit ADS panel with 400 nits of brightness and covers 85-90% of 10-bit colour space. 

Nokia Smart TV has a 55-inch display. It supports Dolby Vision, which is Dolby’s object-based HDR rendering. As for the audio, it is powered by JBL with 24W of sound output. The sound tuning and equaliser are catered to by JBL. The TV comes equipped with two full-range drivers, front-facing tweeters and down-firing mid and low range drivers. However, there is no separate woofer. 

Nokia Smart TV is powered by a quad-core processor coupled with 2.25GB RAM and 16GB storage. It also comes with MEMC technology, to enhance the picture quality and claims to “eliminates blurs and judders for a screen shift devoid of lags, thus offering better picture definition”.

The Nokia Smart TV went on sale in India today at 12 noon through the Flipkart website. Purchasers can get a 10 percent discount on HSBC credit and debit cards. There is also a 5 percent instant discount offer on EMI with Axis Bank credit and debit cards. Buyers can also avail 5 percent unlimited cashback on Flipkart Axis Bank credit card. Moreover, Flipkart says it will provide Complete TV Protection for Nokia Smart TVs, available at a launch price of Rs 2,999.
