Are you using an Airtel prepaid SIM card and want to use YouTube Premium at no cost? If yes, then you should be happy to hear that Airtel has collaborated with YouTube and provided a YouTube Premium subscription through its revised Rs 200 prepaid recharge pack, thus providing the user with an ad-free viewing facility. Apart from the YouTube Premium subscription, users get other benefits like data and some other OTT subscriptions as well, which makes it an appropriate choice for entertainment lovers. But it is to be kept in mind that calling and SMS are not included in this revised prepaid package.
Airtel’s Rs 200 prepaid recharge plan now offers a free YouTube Premium subscription, allowing users to enjoy an ad-free viewing experience across YouTube, YouTube Shorts and YouTube Music. In addition to YouTube Premium, the plan provides access to several OTT platforms, including Amazon Prime Video, JioHotstar, ZEE5 Premium, SonyLIV, Lionsgate Play, Sun NXT and more.
The plan comes with a validity of 28 days, offers 30 GB of data, and requires a base plan to work on. Subscribers should also note that with the Rs 200 prepaid plan, they will not receive any voice-calling or SMS benefits.

With the bundled YouTube Premium subscription in Airtel’s Rs 200 recharge plan, you get an ad-free viewing experience and shorts. You also get background playback for supported videos so that you can keep listening while using other apps or when your phone’s screen is off. However, YouTube says background playback isn’t available in the Shorts player.
If that’s not already enough, you also get the YouTube Music Premium as well. It’s important to note that while the Premium removes platform-served advertising from regular videos, creator-integrated sponsorships and certain promotions may still appear.
Now that you’ve recharged with the Rs 200 prepaid plan, you now need to head to your Airtel app and look for the Rewards & OTTs section. Find YouTube Premium and follow the on-screen instructions. YouTube Premium will share the same validity as the recharge plan, which is 28 days, so we suggest you claim it on day one. Moreover, once the plan expires, you need to recharge again to reclaim the benefit.
