Airtel has quietly removed some of its prepaid recharge options from certain circles, including the popular Rs 579 and Rs 859 plans. While Airtel has not officially announced the change yet, many reported that they were unable to see it. In our independent testing we were also unable to verify the existence of these recharge plans. We checked the plan in the UP West circle. If you’re looking for alternative plans, then the closest you could find are Airtel’s Rs 619 and Rs 899 prepaid plans. Here’s the closer look at what the two plans offer and which one may be a better fit in general.
The Rs 619 plan offers a 60-day long validity along with 1.5 GB of data per day for the entire validity period. Users also get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls with 100 SMS per day.
The plan includes 12 months of Adobe Express Premium, listed as a benefit worth around Rs 4,000. It also includes the Safe Network for fraud link blocking and real-time alerts for spam calls, SMS and suspicious bank OTPs. Users get free Hellotunes, with one tune that can be set every 30 days.
Aside from the calling and data benefits, the recharge plan also offers Airtel Xstream Play, with free content such as movies, shows and live TV channels. The listed services include SonyLIV’s free version, Amazon MX Player, Chana Jor and Runn TV. The plan is not available in all regions and you may or may not see it.

While talking about the Rs 899 plan, the consumers get 84 days of validity with the plan. For the span of 84 days, the consumers can enjoy 1.5 GB of data per day. Aside from that, they get unlimited local, STD and roaming calls and 100 SMS per day.
The plan does not offer any entertainment or other benefits, which is highly unlikely with such plans.

If you’re looking for an Airtel plan that offers longer validity, unlimited calling and good data, then the Rs 899 plan is the one you should opt for. However, if entertainment is your priority, then you should go with the Rs 619 plan. While it offers unlimited calling, daily data and 100 SMS, it also sports certain entertainment and other benefits.
