Vivo is gearing up to launch two new smartphones in India on October 6- the Vivo V80 and S2 FE. However, reports suggest the brand may also unveil another device on the same day, the Vivo X Fold 6. If launched, Vivo’s new book-style foldable will go up against the recently launched Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra. So, how would the two foldables compare? Here is a quick comparison based on what we know so far about the X Fold 6.
The Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to sport an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also has a 6.51-inch AMOLED screen on the outside. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra features an 8.0-inch 2x AMOLED main display with a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate. The outer screen measures 6.5 inches.

For photography, the Vivo X Fold 6 is likely to house a triple camera setup on the back, which may include a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide lens and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens. For selfies and video calls, the device could house a 20MP front-facing camera on both outer and inner screens.
On the other hand, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra also has a triple rear camera setup, but includes a 200MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide sensor and a 10MP telephoto lens. Also, the phone houses a 10MP front-facing camera on both screens.
Under the hood, the Vivo X Fold 6 is said to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, and may pack a 7,000 mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 40W wireless charging support.
Meanwhile, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra is equipped with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset. The phone is backed by a 5,000mAh dual battery with 45W wired charging and 20W wireless charging support.

As per leaks, the Vivo X Fold 6 is expected to cost between Rs 1,29,999 and Rs 1,59,999 in India. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 8 Ultra starts at Rs 1,99,999 and goes up to Rs 2,59,999.
