Oppo has launched the Reno 16 and Reno 16c in India. Both phones run ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, carry IP66, IP68, IP69 and IP69K dust and water resistance certifications and feature an aerospace-grade aluminium frame. Alongside, the Oppo Bubble camera accessory and the Oppo Enco Air5 wireless earbuds have also made their India debut. The Reno 16 series was expected to start at Rs 59,999 based on pre-launch estimates, but has actually launched at Rs 61,999 for the base variant.

Oppo Reno 16 specifications

The Reno 16 features a 6.32-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a claimed peak brightness of 1,800 nits. The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 (4nm) chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, in 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB configurations. It measures 8.22 mm in thickness and weighs approximately 182 g.

The rear camera system comprises a 50MP primary sensor (f/1.8, Sony LYT-600, optical image stabilisation or OIS), a 50MP 3.5x telephoto portrait camera and a 50MP ultrawide. The front camera is a 50MP ultrawide with a 100° field of view. All three rear cameras support 4K 60fps HDR video recording. The battery capacity is rated at 6,700 mAh with 80W SUPERVOOC fast charging.

The Reno 16c uses a larger 6.57-inch FHD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and 1,400 nits peak brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300 (4nm) chipset with up to 12GB RAM and UFS 3.1 storage, in 8GB+128GB, 8GB+256GB and 12GB+256GB variants. The phone is 8.44 mm thick and weighs approximately 195 g.

Its rear camera setup includes a 50MP primary sensor, a 50MP 3.5x telephoto portrait camera and an 8MP ultrawide, a notable step down from the Reno 16’s 50MP ultrawide. The front camera is the same 50MP unit. Battery capacity is rated at 7,000 mAh also with 80W SUPERVOOC support. Both phones are available in Starry White, Stellar Purple and Twilight Violet.

Reno 16 series software and AI features

Both phones ship with ColorOS 16’s AI Snap Key, a dedicated hardware button that saves content to AI Mind Space, launches tools like the camera or translator and records voice notes. The AI Mind Pilot feature brings Gemini, Perplexity and ChatGPT into a single interface rather than requiring users to switch between separate apps. Other AI tools include AI Bill Manager for expense tracking, AI Menu Translation, AI Live Translation, AI Recording Sticker and AI Scan.

Oppo Bubble and Enco Air5 features and pricing

The Oppo Bubble is a magnetically attachable camera accessory with a 1.73-inch AMOLED display that mirrors the rear camera preview, enabling better-framed selfies using the main cameras. It weighs 27.5 g, carries IP54 protection and has a 550 mAh battery. It goes on sale on 9 July at Rs 7,999.

The Oppo Enco Air5 earbuds launch alongside on 2 July at Rs 3,299 with up to 52 dB active noise cancellation (ANC), a 12mm driver, up to 54 hours of total battery life, Bluetooth 6.1 and IP55 protection and is available in Lavender Purple and Midnight Black.
