Poco could re-purpose parts from existing Redmi phones.
Poco F2 Lite is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset.
Poco F2 rumours have been making rounds since late 2018. While many were wondering if Xiaomi had abandoned its brand Poco, it announced earlier this week that Poco will operate as a separate brand. High on heels on that announcement, a Poco F2 model has appeared in the rumour mill. The alleged leaked model is Poco F2 Lite. For reference, Poco is expected to release around three devices under the F2 series. The leaked images are blurry and they don’t reveal much except the name of the handset.
Purported Poco F2 Lite images appeared in the inbox of a YouTuber RevAtlas. He received an email from an unknown party, who claimed to have live photos of the Poco F2 Lite. It is the first time that we are hearing about the existence of a “Lite” device from Poco. The emails hints there will be three models of the F2 launching this year. It had three images of what is claimed to be the Poco F2 Lite, attached to the email.
Looking closely at the phone, it reminds us of the Redmi Note 7 Pro. Poco may as well repurpose parts from existing Redmi phones. There is an image of the “About: screen status that states device name, Poco F2 Lite and it seems to be running a MIUI version for Poco phones.
As for the specifications, Poco F2 Lite is tipped to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 chipset, which features an integrated 5G modem. Further, the handset could come with 6GB RAM and pack a 5000mAh battery. The email also states that Poco F2 Lite will sport a “high resolution very high” camera. It also has a statement that says “millet model price cheaper than before.”
