OpenAI has announced new features for ChatGPT Slides, including real-time collaboration, allowing multiple people to work on the same deck and share feedback. Users can also make changes directly on slides, including editing text, updating charts and adjusting images and shapes. Meanwhile, the company has also highlighted improvements in its latest AI models for working with older programming languages such as COBOL, Fortran and Visual Basic. These languages are still used by banks, government agencies and businesses to run important systems.
The new ChatGPT Slides features aim to make teamwork and presentation editing simpler. Users can share their decks with others and make changes together in real time. They can also add comments and discuss feedback.
ChatGPT and OpenAI’s AI agent dot can help turn feedback into updates. This allows users to make changes based on suggestions.
Also, users can edit elements directly on a slide. They can click on text to change it, update charts, and move or resize images and shapes.
To use the feature, users can ask ChatGPT to “create ChatGPT slides” based on an existing conversation or a file they have shared. Once the presentation is ready, they can present it directly in ChatGPT or export it to PowerPoint or Google Slides.
However, the new features are available only to users on Pro, Business and Enterprise plans.

In a separate announcement, OpenAI discussed improvements in its latest models for software development and migration involving older programming languages. These include COBOL, Fortran and Visual Basic.
“These languages power software that banks, governments, and businesses depend on. Progress here means understanding decades of business logic and helping developers modernize those systems while preserving what works,” the company wrote in a post on X.
Together, the announcements highlight OpenAI’s efforts to improve collaboration in everyday work and help businesses maintain and modernise their existing software systems.
