Samsung recently started rolling out its One UI 9 operating system for its flagship S series devices in India. While the software is relatively new, leaks about the upcoming One UI 10 version, which may be renamed, have already started surfacing. According to Nokia Power User, the company is reportedly planning a major overhaul with the upcoming OS that is expected to debut next year. On the other hand, tipster Ice Universe also iterated that the company is planning “significant” changes of “unprecedented” scale with OneUI 10.
The NPU report noted the UI might adopt “contextual flow” to merge data from different apps into a single interlinked view to achieve tasks faster and avoid using apps in silos for individual tasks. Further, the company is reportedly reconsidering the placement of sub-menus that force a user to juggle between them to complete tasks. The South Korean giant may eliminate these menu layers to boost the speed of workflow.
Further, One UI 10 may have a uniform “hardware-accelerated” design language for a seamless ecosystem experience across Galaxy devices ranging from smartphones, wearables, tablets, laptops and more. However, the UI could bring a key change in Samsung’s approach to AI and cloud computing. Samsung may introduce a paid subscription model with the update.
While the basic AI features are expected to remain available under the free tier, the specialised ones that require cloud computing and trigger advanced processes, such as third-party integration, could be locked behind a paid subscription. However, these details have not been confirmed by Samsung and should be taken with a pinch of salt.
This major overhaul is expected to arrive when One UI completes ten years since its introduction. Some leaks suggest the company may introduce the OS with the launch of the Galaxy S28 series devices in early 2028 with Android 18, while @UniverseIce claims the UI may debut alongside the company’s 9th-generation series foldables next year.

Meanwhile, an earlier leak from X user @phonefuturist claimed the company is partnering with Google for deeper AI integrations for its upcoming OS, which could be named Galaxy OS. This is a possible hint that the company might also consider renaming the skin. However, the user also indicated that the possibility of the name remaining One UI is still strong.
