Eternal founder Deepinder Goyal has unveiled Dark.ai, a new AI chatbot built around the promise of keeping user conversations private. The new AI chatbot was announced during the Q2 FY27 shareholder letter. According to the reports, the upcoming platform will use end-to-end encryption, and Goyal confirms that even Eternal will not be able to read users’ chats. Not only that, but it also includes an encrypted memory layer that lets users control what the chatbot remembers across sessions. The upcoming AI model is said to run on open-weight models on Eternal’s own infrastructure. Follow along with the article to learn everything we know so far about the upcoming Dark.ai.
Dark.ai is a new AI chatbot that will allow users to ask questions, seek information and explore ideas much like ChatGPT and Google Gemini. However, the main difference between Dark.ai and other AI models is its focus on keeping the conversations private.

Deepinder Goyal recently shared details about the upcoming platform in Eternal’s Q2 FY27 shareholder letter. He noted that the concerns about privacy can stop people from using AI to discuss sensitive topics related to health, finances and relationships. The same concerns may also prevent researchers, entrepreneurs and businesses from sharing confidential information with AI tools.
According to the reports, the new AI will use end-to-end encryption in its chats that will restrict anyone other than authorised participants from reading conversations. Goyal also said that this approach would stop the company from accessing users’ chats, even if it were compelled to do so.
Aside from the above-mentioned, the new platform will also include encrypted memory, which will allow users to manage what the chatbot remembers across different sessions, helping it retain context without giving the company access to their conversations.
Eternal plans to run advanced AI models on its own systems and make changes to suit its needs. According to Goyal, the chatbot is being designed to give honest and accurate answers instead of just telling people what they want to hear. The company also plans to share test results in the future to show how well the chatbot performs.

While no official launch date has been revealed at the time of writing, reports suggest that Eternal may launch Dark.ai globally by the end of 2026. The all-new AI chatbot is designed for founders, researchers, scientists, businesses and government organisations that usually work with sensitive information. Not only that, but it may also appeal to everyday users who want greater privacy when discussing personal concerns or exploring private ideas. According to reports, Eternal’s team has already been using the chatbot internally for several months now.
