ColorOS 17: AI features, release timeline, eligible OnePlus, Oppo and Realme phones and more details

Oppo has confirmed the global unveiling date for the upcoming ColorOS 17, an Android 17-based skin. New devices from Oppo, OnePlus and Realme running Android 17 will come preinstalled with ColorOS 17, and the company will also roll it out to older eligible devices. OnePlus and Realme are replacing OxygenOS and Realme UI with ColorOS from Android 17 onwards. With the new OS, users can expect a fluid design, floating notifications, dynamic navigation and more. It is also anticipated to bring AI features for photo editing, note-taking and offline AI assistance, though Oppo has not yet detailed the features. Here is everything we know about the unveiling date and time, what to expect, eligible devices and more.

ColorOS 17: When will it launch?

Oppo has confirmed that ColorOS 17 will be unveiled globally on October 13, 2026. The event is scheduled for 11 AM CEST, which is 2:30 PM IST, and the India launch is on the same day.

However, it’s important to note that the stable rollout will not begin on the same day. Chinese users started receiving the stable rollout on October 8 and if the company follows a similar rollout pattern in India then the Find X9, OnePlus 15 and realme GT 8 Pro should be among the first to get it after the event.
