OpenAI has introduced a new feature that lets users create and edit PowerPoint presentations using ChatGPT. The feature, called ChatGPT for PowerPoint, is currently available in beta and allows users to build presentation slides with simple text prompts. With this integration, users no longer need to manually create every slide from scratch. Instead, they can ask ChatGPT to turn notes, documents, spreadsheets or images into a proper presentation deck. The AI can also rewrite content, shorten long paragraphs, improve slide structure and make presentations look more professional while keeping them editable inside PowerPoint.
The new feature is available globally for ChatGPT Business, Enterprise, Edu, Teachers, and K-12 users. OpenAI is also rolling it out for Free, Go, Plus and Pro users.

For example, users can type prompts like:
Note that there are some limitations. OpenAI explains, ‘Some advanced PowerPoint capabilities may not be supported yet, including complex formatting like template or font handling. ChatGPT can make mistakes and may change or delete content if a request is unclear, so be specific, review what changed, and keep a copy of important decks.’
