Apple Home Collection: Home Monitoring, Access and Climate

Apple Home Collection brings several smart home accessories to the market that are specifically designed to work together as a group and protect your house. Users can set up the devices with a single tap on a compatible iPhone and manage them through the Home app.

For home monitoring, LG offers four products, notably the Video Doorbell, Floodlight Cam, Outdoor Cam, and Indoor Cam. According to the company the cameras can recognise people, pets, vehicles, and packages and can record video at up to 2.5K resolution. Not only that, but the Cupertino giant also claims that the iCloud+ users can access up to 10 days of event video history. The indoor camera can also adjust its position to improve privacy when someone returns home.

To give your house better protection, Apple launched Smart Deadbolt Lock in partnership with LG. The device is said to unlock automatically when a user approaches with a compatible iPhone or Apple Watch. Aside from that, it has a PIN pad, backup key, and guest access through the Home app. Apple claims that the lock can alert users if the door is open or has been tampered with.

Smart thermostats are yet another accessory included in the Apple Home Collection. The device is built in collaboration with LG and Schneider Electric and can adjust the temperature of the room based on whether people are home, sleeping, or away. Also, the compatible temperature and humidity sensors help users check the conditions in different rooms.
