Rockstar Games may not have released the GTA 6 trailer 3 for the fans but there is a good news. Netflix has officially announced that it will exclusively stream an extended gameplay presentation of GTA 6 on August 27, several hours before the footage becomes publicly available.
This was an unexpected and unusual collaboration between the streaming giant and Rockstar that will give Netflix subscribers early access to the first look of one of the most anticipated game showcases in a decade.
According to the announcement, Netflix will stream the extended GTA 6 showcase on August 27 at 3 PM ET that is August 28 at 12:30 AM IST. The same footage is expected to be released publicly at 9 PM ET that is 6:30 AM IST through Rockstar Games’ official YouTube channel, giving Netflix subscribers a six-hour head start.
The partnership is one of Netflix’s biggest gaming-related collaborations to date and highlights the growing interest of streaming platforms in securing exclusive entertainment content beyond films and TV shows.
The announcement comes after weeks of speculation that Rockstar will introduce Trailer 3 on August 6. Fans have already linked several online clues, including reported backend changes on Rockstar’s website and theories surrounding Take-Two Interactive’s earnings call scheduled for August 7. However, no new trailer was released.
Grand Theft Auto VI is scheduled to launch on November 19, 2026, for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. Rockstar has already confirmed that players will explore Vice City and the fictional state of Leonida through dual protagonists Jason and Lucia. A release date for the PC version has not yet been announced, while digital pre-loading is expected to begin roughly a week before launch.
