GTA 6. These two words alone are enough to spark a discussion between 2 gaming enthusiasts, regardless of the genre of games they usually play. The game has created so much hype that by now, November 19, 2026 seems more like a festival for gamers across the globe. Announced back in 2023, the title has been delayed several times, suffered through some leaks and even received some backlash for not deciding to launch a physical disk. But, none of that has taken away from its hype. And now, we finally have a detailed look at what lies in store for us towards the end of this year.
Netflix subscribers just got an ‘extended look’ at GTA 6 and the same will be showcased on YouTube a couple of hours later. But, if you are curious about what exactly lies in the GTA 6 extended look, read on.

The 26-minute long video begins with the most GTA thing ever – a mission. But this time, there isn’t a single protagonist going in to wreck havoc. There are two. And one of them is a woman.
Jason and Lucia are seen headed to a location to pick something up for a contact. They run into a bunch of people and well, as you would expect, things go south and we soon see guns blazing, people running around and whatnot.
We are then given a glimpse of Jason and Lucia’s relationship which is just like any other couple. She asks him what she should wear, he reveals his choice, and she goes on to wear something else altogether. Cliche, but something you rarely see in GTA games.
The rest of the video also shows us how the 2 protagonists stick together for various missions, explore the city together, and in some cases, just survive. The video also gives us a look at some NPCs, side activities that you can indulge in, and much more.
One thing that is apparent from the video is that the game actually looks incredible. Reflections make everything look super realistic and even though you know you are in Vice City, it will be hard to recognize the place from the first look.
As we already know, GTA 6 is coming to consoles on November 19, 2026. A PC version has not been announced yet. The game has been delayed multiple times and was first supposed to launch in 2025. Pre-orders for the game began in June this year and the launch finally appears to be on track.
The long wait has only made the anticipation bigger, especially considering GTA 5 launched back in 2013. For many players, GTA 6 is therefore not simply the next entry in the franchise. It is the first new mainline GTA game they will experience as adults.
Players who were teenagers when GTA 5 launched are now in their twenties, while others who grew up playing the older GTA games are also waiting to see what Rockstar has built this time. And now, with the Extended Look finally out, we have a much better idea of what Rockstar has been working on all these years.
However, the road to the launch has not been completely smooth. Just a week before the Extended Look, several GTA 6 gameplay clips were leaked online including footage featuring Jason and Lucia. More than a dozen clips reportedly surfaced before Rockstar finally addressed the situation.
In a statement, Rockstar had called the leaks “heartbreaking” for its development team and said the footage was not the way it wanted fans to experience the game. The developer also confirmed that GTA 6 is still on track for November 19 launch.
More recently, barely hours before the Extended Look reveal, more than four minutes of gameplay reportedly appeared online. The footage appeared to show part of the game’s prologue and featured Lucia.
The person behind the leak also claimed to have access to a recent build, although those claims could not be verified. And now, with the Extended Look finally out, we have a much better idea of what Rockstar has been working on all these years.
