1. Fardeen Khan was the first choice for John Abraham's role. But since Fardeen is taking a break from films since 2010, he refused the film. Anees had a very good relationship with Feroz Khan and wanted to continue the tradition by casting Fardeen. Fardeen's main reason for refusing was his commitment to his home production "Firauti" opposite Katrina Kaif. This is when John Abraham was then signed for the film.
2. After Feroz Khan passed away, Amitabh Bachchan was considered to step into his role in the sequel. It was then decided to write a new character that was to be eventually played by Naseeruddin Shah.
3. Asin and Sonakshi Sinha were considered for the female lead but due to date problems, Shruti Hassan got the role.
4. Rekha was considered for Dimple Kapadia's role when Amitabh Bachchan was about to be signed for the film.
5. Amitabh Bachchan was considered to replace the late Feroze Khan but he opted out of the film at the same time Rekha was considered for the role of Dimple Kapadia.
6. Nana Patekar received a hair transplant during the film. That's why his hairline appears higher and lower in several scenes.
7. It was the first film to star Nana Patekar and Naseeruddin Shah together.
8. In the debut film of Ankita Shrivastav.
9. Nana Patekar plays a dual role in the film of father and son.
10. Upon its release, the movie became India's third-highest opening film of 2015.
