In the latest movie, Thomas Anderson aka Neo is a gifted programmer who has created the most popular video game trilogy ever made: The Matrix. Trinity meanwhile is a housewife with three kids. They meet at a coffee shop called Simulate where they find out their reality.
“Resurrections’ action takes on a different mood from that of its predecessors, with the love story of ‘Thomas” and “Tiffany” are the heart of the film. He suspects his world is wrong, somehow, and is contacted by people claiming to confirm his suspicions and who reveal the Matrix to him. Once again, he fights the machines to understand the true reality of life. The movie shows the battle between Neo’s reality in the mental and physical world. He discovers that the Matrix is stronger and far more dangerous than ever before.
Together, Neo and Trinity set out to change the Matrix into a happier world for all of humankind. The end of an era the Matrix Resurrections is definitely worth a watch.

1. Trinity's alter ego Tiffany is now married to "Chad", played by Chad Stahelski, who directed the John Wick series with Keanu Reeves. He in fact was the stunt double for Keanu Reeves in the original Matrix Trilogy- hence both played Neo. In a way, Trinity is married to Neo.
2. Laurence Fishburne told Collider movie news that he was not in this Matrix movie. When questioned, he replied that someone would have to ask Lana Wachowski because he didn't have an answer for that.
3. The teaser site WhatisTheMatrix came back online on October with the returning Choose Your Reality section where visitors chose either the Red or Blue pills and be treated to a unique teaser for The Matrix Resurrections, it also featured exactly 2,880 unique variations of dialogue for both versions because the teaser would detect your time and then read it out mid-teaser.
4. The first teaser, revealed via WhatIsTheMatrix.com, included a shot of Neo's pill bottle, prescribed to his Matrix alter ego Thomas Anderson. The medication is called "Ontolofloxin," a clever tweak on the series' exploration of ontology, i.e. the nature of being.
5. Unlike the first two sequels, no second unit was used for any of the action sequences, as Lana Wachowski directed all the scenes herself.
6. Under the code name "Project Ice Cream", the film began production in San Francisco on February 4, 2020.
7. This will be the first Matrix film to be shot digitally, unlike the first three films which were shot in Super 35 format.

On her very first day of the shoot in Berlin, Priyanka Chopra Jonas (Sati) had to recite all the lines of dialogue she had in the film in front of the entire cast, in order to take advantage of an authentic sunset that director Lana Wachowski insisted on capturing for coverage. According to Priyanka, the session lasted about 45 minutes, after which time she was exhausted from the stress on her very first "Matrix" installment.
9. Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Jada Pinkett Smith, Daniel Bernhardt, Clayton Watson, and Lambert Wilson are the only cast members to return. Clayton Watson also returns in an uncredited role.
10. Mnemosyne (Bugs' ship's name) in Greek mythology is the Muse of Memory, as well as the mother of muses.
11. In mid-March 2020, filming for the San Francisco portion of the film had just been completed--and the cast and crew had just arrived in Berlin--before production shut down in response to the COVID-19 pandemic, causing a shooting delay for several months.
12. The film was initially set for release on May 21, 2021, which would have premiered alongside John Wick: Chapter 4 (2023), also starring Keanu Reeves. The film was postponed to April 1, 2022, due to the COVID-19 pandemic. On October 5, 2020, the film was moved to December 22, 2021.
13. At 148 minutes (2h 28m), this will be the longest Matrix film as of release.
14. Will be released 18 years after The Matrix Revolutions (2003).
15. Jessica Henwick's character, Bugs, is named after Bugs Bunny, a nod to another popular Warner Bros. character and a reference to the "White Rabbit" Neo had to follow in the first "The Matrix" film.
16. This is the first Matrix film that does not feature cinematography by Bill Pope, nor a score by Don Davis.
17. The Analyst's cat named Déjà vu, is an obvious nod to the scene in The Matrix (1999) where Neo sees a cat repeating its movements in a hallway. After witnessing the event Neo exclaims "Déjà vu".
18. In a "blink and you'll miss it" moment, the sign Bugs slides down on in the beginning to escape the agents briefly says "for those who love to eat sh*t"
19. First Matrix movie not produced by Joel Silver.
20. At minute 4 of the film, during the rooftop scene, there is a large round red neon sign, which is never seen in its entirety, that reads in Spanish 'Sabor a Mierda' (Flavor of Shit).
21. John Gaeta and Kim Libreri, who led visual effects for the Matrix trilogy of movies, appear as employees at the developer of the fictional "Matrix Trilogy" games.
22. At the 29:30 mark, Tiffany (Trinity) mentions she loves motorcycles and with her friend, Kush, builds them. In real life, Keanu Reeves is an avid motorcycle enthusiast and co-founded Arch Motorcycle Company, where he builds them with his friend Gard Hollinger.
