Meanwhile, the attention changes to Lord Shiva blessing a demon to sacrifice a virgin girl in order to gain complete control of the three planets.
The narrative then turns to Malli, now an adult, whose motivation is to help others and care for his ill sister. On one visit to the hospital where his sister is being treated, he falls in love with Dr. Maheshwari.
On the first solar eclipse day, the demon chooses Dr. Maheshwari as his sacrifice. Her parents decide to marry Mahi to a relative, Rahul, who is visiting from the United States. In the series of events that follow, Malli learns the truth about Rahul.
The demon then transports Mahi to the site of sacrifice and prepares for the rite. Malli faces the demon and is first vanquished, but he heads upwards to seek Lord Shiva's favor before finally defeating Andhakaasura by piercing the Trident granted by Lord Shiva.
