I Love My Dad Movie (2022)

I Love My Dad is a comedy film that revolves around the relationship of a father and son. In the beginning, Franklin a teenage boy is shown leaving a mental health facility as he wanted to kill himself a while back and has suicidal thoughts. Diane, his mother, tries to steer him away from anything that might increase his despair. His dad Chuck lives a few states away and has been unable to co-parent after their divorce. Chuck desperately wants to connect with his son Franklin. 

However, Franklin blocks his father Chuck on social media, his father decides to "catfish" his son by impersonating a beautiful waitress named Becca online. Chuck then says he will drive Franklin to Maine to meet Becca in order to spend more time with him. The journey is his last attempt to reconnect with his son. This creates several problems for his lonely and recently suicidal son who he hopes to help. The movie is very funny and resonates with parents who are worried about protecting their digital-native children. Would Franklin ever forgive his dad when he finds out the truth?
