Hridayapoorvam Movie (2025)

Hridayapoorvam is a Malayalam film directed by Sathyan Anthikad and starring Mohanlal, Malavika Mohanan, Sangeeth Prathap, and Sangita Madhavan Nair. Sandeep Balakrishnan (Mohanlal) is a wealthy but emotionally distant businessman who runs a successful cloud-kitchen chain in Kochi. After undergoing a heart transplant, he quickly returns to his routine life, dismissing the emotional significance of the surgery. He often remarks, “a heart is just an organ,” frustrating those around him.

He is invited to Pune to attend the engagement of Haritha, the daughter of Colonel Ravindranath, the army officer whose heart saved his life. At the event, Sandeep’s blunt and emotionally detached demeanor unsettles the family. When Haritha’s engagement falls apart unexpectedly, Sandeep ends up staying with the family due to a back injury.

Initially reluctant and aloof, Sandeep slowly begins to bond with Haritha, her mother Devika, and their extended family. His nurse Jerry (Sangeeth Prathap) adds comic relief, while the warmth of the household begins to soften Sandeep’s hardened outlook.

As days pass, Sandeep undergoes a quiet transformation. He helps Haritha regain her confidence and begins to see the heart he received not just as an organ, but as a symbol of love, memory, and connection. The film culminates in Sandeep embracing his new life and family, finally acknowledging the emotional depth of his journey.
