Planning to go abroad? These Vi plans offer free international roaming benefits

Are you planning an overseas trip and worried about staying connected? Vi has you covered, as the company now offers bundled roaming benefits with some eligible plans at no extra cost. The bundled roaming benefits span across prepaid, postpaid, and enterprise plans. Depending on the plan, users can get international data and outgoing calling benefits for up to three trips a year. The company says these bundled benefits can help frequent travellers save money on roaming expenses. However, the exact data and calling limits, along with eligible destinations, vary by plan. Here’s everything you need to know before travelling abroad with Vi.

Vi plans with new roaming benefits

Vi has confirmed that users with postpaid plans starting at Rs 501, annual prepaid unlimited data plans, and enterprise plans starting at Rs 451 are eligible for free international roaming benefits as part of their plans.

Depending on the plan, customers can use these roaming benefits for up to three international trips a year. The benefits may vary, including the amount of international data and the number of outgoing calling minutes available. The company also estimates that customers can save up to Rs 9,000 a year by using the international roaming benefits included with their plans.

Note: Vi has not officially disclosed the exact details of the roaming benefits, including the calling and data limits that will apply while overseas.

How to access the recharge plans

If you’re not sure if you’re eligible for the roaming benefits or not, then you can simply check it via the Vi app. All you need to do is open the Vi app and select the international Roam-Free option for their trip.

Another thing to keep in mind is that the plan is only available in selected countries, so you should check if the destination you’re travelling to is covered under the plan. Moreover, you should also check how many trips are covered under your plan.
