India’s mid-range phone market is getting crowded. Almost every single phone comes with advanced camera features, higher brightness, bigger battery and greater speed these days. Nonetheless, the Poco X8 Power, Vivo S2, and Motorola Edge 70 Pro are unique in terms of providing great value for money to the consumer segment. While the Motorola Edge 70 Pro emphasises improved performance and flexibility in the camera section, the Poco X8 Power has a bigger battery and fast charging, and the Vivo S2 provides a good combination of battery and screen quality. Here is a detailed spec-based comparison of the Motorola Edge 70 Pro, Vivo S2, and Poco X8 Power.
Poco X8 Power comes equipped with a 6.83-inch 1.5K AMOLED display, which is further paired with a 120 Hz refresh rate. Aside from that, the panel also supports Dolby Vision, and the company also claims that the display can reach up to 3,500 nits of peak brightness. The screen also houses Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2 for dust and water resistance.
However, the Vivo S2 comes with a 6.83-inch curved AMOLED panel and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. When used outdoors the display can be as bright as 3,000 nits.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro comes with a slightly smaller 6.8-inch AMOLED display with Super HD resolution and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. With the device’s stated maximum brightness of 5,200 nits, using it in direct sunlight won’t affect your viewing experience.

Under the hood, the Poco X8 Power sports Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 6 Gen 5 chipset along with up to 8GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. Out of the box the smartphone runs on Xiaomi HyperOS 3, a skin based on Android 16.
The Vivo S2 runs on the MediaTek Dimensity 7360 Turbo processor. Other than that, you also get 8GB of LPDDR4X RAM and can choose between 128GB and 256GB of storage variants. The device comes with Android 16-based OriginOS 6.
The Motorola Edge 70 Pro draws its power from MediaTek’s Dimensity 8500 Extreme chipset with up to 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.1 storage. The smartphone ships with Android 16 and Hello UI features.
Talking about the battery, the Poco X8 Power comes packed with a massive 10,000 mAh silicon-carbon cell. It is further supported by 100W fast charging. While the Vivo S2 comes with a 7,050mAh battery and is paired with 44W fast charging. Meanwhile, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro houses a 6,500 mAh silicon-carbon cell with 90W wired charging. Moreover, it also supports 5W wired reverse charging.
In terms of optics, Poco X8 Power gets a 50MP primary camera with OIS, supported by an 8MP ultra-wide camera. At the front, you get a 32MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The Vivo S2 sports a 50MP Sony IMX882 primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2MP depth sensor. For selfies and video calls, the handset also comes with a 32MP front camera.
In comparison, the Motorola Edge 70 Pro comes with a triple camera setup featuring a 50MP Sony LYT710 primary sensor and a 50MP ultra-wide macro camera. It also houses a 50MP front-facing camera.
The Poco X8 Power was launched with a price tag of Rs 35,999, while the Vivo S2 debuted for Rs 39,999, and the Motorola Edge 70 Pro cost Rs 38,999 at the time of launch.
