Well, it looks like the OnePlus 8 and OnePlus 8 Pro have both started receiving the new version of OxygenOS. From the changelog, we can see that this update brings with it a ton of fixes and improvements. The update also comes with the May 2020 security patch and looks to be rolling out to devices across the globe. Just a note though, users may get the OxygenOS 10.5.8 of OxygenOS 10.5.10, but don’t worry as they’re pretty much the same OTA update for different regions.
The update brings with it an optimised pocket mode to prevent any unnecessary mistouches which has been an issue for a lot of users. Other fixes include an added auto ultra-wide-angle lens feature when shooting at close range to improve the picture quality of edges but this is for the OnePlus 8 Pro only. There’s improved stability of communication along with an improved shooting experience with the camera and improved stability. You can check out the full changelog below.

This looks like a really detailed changelog and OnePlys has gone above and beyond to deliver a premium experience to its users. In fact, we’ve even got a gaming comparison between the OnePlus 8 and iQOO 3 and Realme X50 Pro, right here.
In other OnePlus news, the OnePlus and McLaren deal has just been ended so we will not be getting more OnePlus McLaren editions anymore. You can read more about that story here. And, if own an OnePlus 6 or the OnePlus 6 T, both phones will receive the ‘Work Life Balance’ feature in the New OxygenOS 10.3.4. You can read more about that here.
