OnePlus is reportedly gearing up to expand its smartphone lineup in the Indian market. A tipster has claimed that the company will launch two new models in India, which are anticipated to be the OnePlus 16R and OnePlus 16. However, it’s important to note that the company has not yet officially verified these details. Earlier leaks pointed out that the OnePlus 16 could be exclusive to the home market. Tipster Debayan Roy recently posted on its official X account suggesting that OnePlus may launch two smartphones in India. It may include the much-awaited OnePlus 16R and the OnePlus 16. Its important to note that earlier reports suggested that the OnePlus 16 could remain exclusive to the home market due to the pricing issues.

Talking about the launch, he suggested that the new devices could make their debut in the Indian market by late December 2026 or early 2027.

The OnePlus 16R is expected to cost between Rs 70,000 and Rs 75,000. The OnePlus 16 may be priced between Rs 81,999 and Rs 99,990. However, these prices are not official yet and may only be confirmed when the phones launch.

Leaks point to the OnePlus 16R launching with a 6.78-inch 1.5K OLED display with a 185 Hz refresh rate. Not only that, but it’s also said to come equipped with a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset that may get paired with up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of internal storage.
In terms of optics, the device may feature a triple camera setup at the back, including a 200MP primary sensor with an OIS 50MP telephoto sensor with 3.5x zoom. At the front it may come with a 16MP sensor for selfies and video calls.
The smartphone is said to have a 9000 mAh battery, which may get supported with 100 W charging. Rumours suggest that the device will also feature an in-built cooling fan and water resistance.
